01 - The Lightning Boy from the Mamodo World!
Kiyo, a genius, and introverted middle school student, hates going to school and has trouble making friends…until one day Zatch comes crashing through his bedroom window! Zatch is a present from Kiyo’s father, who saved the little tot on an archeological dig, and hopes that Zatch will help motivate Kiyo to go to school and make friends. Kiyo’s father explains that Zatch just appeared, with no clues to where he came from, except for a strange red book full of illegible symbols.
02 - A Freezing Spell!
Kiyo is quickly realizing that Zatch is no ordinary kid. With little horns on his head and lightning that shoots from his mouth, there is no mistake that Zatch is something unusual. But Zatch has no recollection of his past, or of lightning coming out of his mouth. To Kiyo, Zatch is a nuisance but he begins to believe that perhaps he can actually help change his life and make him brave enough to stand up for himself and for others!
03 - The Second Spell!
Kiyo is beginning to think that Zatch attracts too much attention and is way too much trouble to bring with him to school. Giving Zatch a homemade toy (Volcan 300) to play with, he ditches him and heads off to class. But all eyes are nevertheless on Kiyo! It turns out that his picture is on the front page of the paper, after saving the day at the bank! Kiyo is the talk of the school, and suddenly he has all the girls’ attention!
04 - The Great Mamodo Battle!
Since the duel with Hosokawa and Reycom, Zatch has learned that he has special powers. Eager to show off, Zatch heads to the park to demonstrate his lightning powers to the kids there. Kiyo arrives, wondering what Zatch is up to. He finds him bragging to the group of disinterested kids. Kiyo is furious with Zatch, and scolds him that the lightning that shoots from his mouth is a dangerous power that can hurt people!
05 - The Dark Mamodo!
While Sherry and Brago try to wrench the red spell book from Kiyo, a hooded intruder steps into the hallway where Zatch stands listening! Renji with one word turns the little puppy dog that followed Zatch home into a raging beast, Gofure! Kiyo, hearing the commotion, comes out of his room to find Gofure attacking Zatch! A terrible battle ensues, and Kiyo and Zatch seem on the brink of defeat, when Sherry interjects to put a stop to the nonsense. She and Brago overpower Renji and Gofure, and she confiscates their spell book.
06 - The Missing Red Book!
Kiyo is in the hospital recovering from his duel with Sherry and Brago. In the same recovery room is another kid named Yuta, who has been in the hospital for twice as long as anticipated. Yuta has grown bitter and hopeless about his recovery, watching other patients arrive after him and leave the hospital before him and when Zatch tries to make friends with him Yuta and Kiyo end up in a spat. As revenge, Yuta steals the red book of spells and threatens to burn it!
07 - Botanical Badness!
It’s Sunday. Zatch begged and begged, so Kiyo finally agrees to take him and Suzy to the botanical garden. Zatch and Suzy are happily romping about, when they meet Ivy, the woman who manages the botanical garden. But something disastrous has disturbed the peace of this tranquil botanical garden. The roots and branches of the trees have turned into living creatures and started taking visitors to the garden hostage!
08 - A Kind Mamodo, Kolulu
One rainy day, a schoolgirl named Lori finds a crying mamodo Kolulu. Lori adopts Kolulu as her little sister, after finding out she doesn’t have a family, and has never felt so happy in her life. One morning, Zatch is playing with Vulcan, and he meets Kolulu, he has no memory of her from the mamodo world but she remembers him. Later at home, Lori notices a glowing pink book in Kolulu’s bag. Lori flips through the pages, one page has an intriguing line that is legible, and she reads it aloud.
09 - The Third Spell!
One morning, Kiyo wakes to find that he can suddenly read a third spell from the Red Spell Book! Zatch, frustrated that he is thus far still small and relatively powerless, is eager to find out if the new spell will make him stronger! So, come what may, the two head to a remote place outdoors to try out the new spell. But nothing happens!!! Why? What are they doing wrong? Disappointed, they return home.
10 - The Elite Mamodo
Zatch’s bully Naomi is tormenting Zatch in the park as usual, when suddenly a giant man scares Naomi away and saves Zatch!! Kiyo and Zatch keep a careful watch on this big mamodo guy, Shin and his companion Eshros, because they also have a spell book. Zatch is convinced that Shin is a good mamodo after he sees him performing all kinds of good deeds! Kiyo overhears Shin and Eshros talking, only to find that Eshros is the mamodo and Shin is the human!
11 - The Invincible Folgore!
One day, Zatch comes home and notices that Kiyo seems a bit different…he’s somehow kinder than usual! What Zatch doesn’t know is that a mamodo kid named Kanchome, has disguised himself as Kiyo and tied Kiyo prisoner to the ceiling! Angry and frustrated, Kiyo finally manages to detach himself and the fake Kiyo finally reveals himself as a duck-billed mamodo in pajamas!
12 - Sherry’s Rhapsody of Life
When Sherry was a little girl, she had a best friend named Koko. The two of them were both raised in unhappy circumstances and vowed to break free of their tunnel of darkness and find happiness in life. But as the two girls grew older, they each went their separate ways. The kind, studious Koko unwittingly teamed up with a mamodo, Zophis, who saw that Koko had the power to help him rule the mamodo world, so he used his powers to turn her evil, so that destroying things and hurting people could be fun for her!
13 - The Rematch: Zatch and Hyde Meet Again
While the mamodo Hyde yearns to battle, Eido his air-headed human partner would much rather spend his time eating yellowtail burgers, skateboarding, and girl watching! After seeing Kiyo and Zatch again, Hyde convinces Eido to take some of Kiyo’s schoolmates hostage in a water storage house, and leaves a note in Kiyo’s locker at school…but Eido forgets to write the name of the rendezvous location! Luckily, Zatch sniffs out where their friends are being held hostage and engages in a battle!
14 - The Tomboy and the Pop star
Suzy invites Kiyo to his first music concert, but leaves Zatch behind. Zatch tries sneaking into the concert by hiding in a duffel bag and searches for a back door into the auditorium. In the dressing room, Megumi and her mamodo partner Tia are troubled. Tia cheers up Megumi by saying that she’ll protect the concert at all costs. Megumi is very concerned, but the show must go on. Standing guard, Tia is nervous, awaiting an attack. Suddenly, the door in front of her opens and Zatch enters!
15 - A New Pledge Between Zatch and Tia
Outside Zatch faces Maruss. Standing by, Tia is still in shock: How did Zatch become so strong, and why is he protecting her? After being betrayed by her former best friend Maruss, Tia has a hard time believing that in this battle of mamodo any friends can remain or allies be made. But she sees something familiar in Zatch… back when she knew him in the mamodo world, Zatch used to protect things that were smaller and weaker than him.
16 - The Invulnerable Robnos
Kiyo finds a statue of Suzy tied up, placed in front of his house. According to Zatch, the plate around the neck of the statue reads, "I have the statue girl. Come to the 8th warehouse in Mochinoki Harbor by 3:00 p.m." When Kiyo looks at the clock, it is 2:50...Flustered, he and Zatch dash off and arrives at a cold storage warehouse. What awaits them is a song-loving, self-proclaimed invulnerable mamodo named Robnos and he has a few surprises in store for them.
17 - Kiyo’s Curry Summer Vacation
Finally it’s summer vacation! Due to his battles, Kiyo completely forgets the promises he made to his classmates: to play ping-pong with Suzy and Marylou, practice baseball with Yamanaka, search for UFOs with Iwashima, and go dinosaur hunting with Kane. On top of that, Kiyo is supposed to leave for a camping trip in two days and soon afterwards, he is scheduled to go to England! This means Kiyo has one day to fulfill all his promises to his classmates, and it must be tomorrow!
18 - London Calling
Zatch and Kiyo arrive in London to see Kiyo’s father, a college professor. Another purpose for this trip is to find out more about Zatch, who still can’t remember how he arrived in the human world. While Zatch and Kiyo visit the sights in London, they hear loud screaming coming from the concert venue of the Italian actor Parco Folgore! And Kiyo gets a bad feeling.
19 - The Dark Lord of the Cursed Castle
Kiyo has his bag stolen. Zatch desperately chases down the culprit and captures him. The culprit’s name is Kory. For some reason, Zatch and Kory become friends. Kory’s arm is injured, and Kiyo decides to take Kory to his father's university for treatment. However, when they arrive, Kiyo's father is gone and his office has been ransacked. All they find are some mysterious flowers…
20 - The Flowers of Evil
Kiyo and Zatch have found out the secret about Baltro's true powers. But before they know it, Parco and Kanchome have been taken hostage! Steng tells them if they want to save Parco and Kanchome they must hand over their Red Spell Book. Steng swipes the book without difficulty and roughs up the two, revealing that at someone's request, he captured Kiyo's father to lure them to the castle. Baltro's giant foot looms above Kiyo and Zatch to apply the finishing blow.
21 - Another Zatch
The village is having a party to celebrate being freed from Steng and Baltro. Kiyo learns from his dad about the forest where he first found Zatch, and decides to go there to find information about Zatch’s past. His father tells him he should be very careful because spirits have been appearing in the forest recently. The next morning, Kiyo and Zatch waste no time in heading out to the forest. Kiyo and Zatch enter the forest and encounter Professor Dartagnan, who is dressed as a wood spirit.
22 - The Dancing Mamodo
Kiyo and Zatch are practicing the fourth spell when suddenly they hear someone singing a song in the distance. Approaching the voice, they find a little boy named Yopopo in a green outfit dancing to the song. When Zatch playfully starts imitating the dance, a girl named Djem appears. Though at first she assumes (correctly) that Zatch is a mamodo and attacks him, seeing Kiyo makes her think she is mistaken, and she invites Kiyo and Zatch, and Suzy for lunch.
23 - “Go For It, Ponygon!”
The day has come when Zatch and Kiyo leave England, so they say goodbye to Kiyo’s Father, Kory, Djem, and the others. At the airport, they notice that some creature resembling a horse is attached to their luggage. It seems like he has been a friend with Zatch for a long time. Relieved, Kiyo tries to pet him, but he suddenly and violently chomps down on Kiyo's hand!
24 - Apollo, the Free Traveler
Kiyo has gone shopping to repair the gate that Zatch broke. On the way back, Suzy is about to be run over by a car. A cute mamodo in the form of what looks like a ladybug saves her in the nick of time. And there is a young man standing next to him with light blue spell book in his hand. Soon after a shocked Kiyo gives chase, they leave the scene. Kiyo comes across the young man again. Kiyo attempts to leave the scene before he is noticed. But the he has caught on that Kiyo is an owner of a spell book.
25 - Apollo, The Free Traveller – Part 2
The battle continues. Zatch repels back with Rashield. However, Apollo dodges as if he knows the spell. It seems that Apollo possesses a special kind of intuition. Kiyo reads the fourth spell, Bao Zakeruga, but is unable to get it to activate!! Kiyo and Zatch baffle Apollo and Rops with a spirited combination. They succeed in inflicting damage on Rops with a surprise Zaker attack. Apollo sees Rops admirably get up from the attack and recalls the country where he first met Rops in the midst of a past journey
26 - A Day With Zatch
One day, Zatch does not follow Kiyo to school but goes off to play by himself. Zatch goes to the park, but Naomi chases him away. After helping out Ivy at the botanical garden, Zatch decides to have lunch on a hilltop with a nice view, but he cannot find his box lunch! It seems that he dropped it when Naomi was chasing him. Suddenly, a giant old woman named Nana Baba sits next to Zatch. She looks scary, but is very nice and shares her lunch with Zatch.
27 - Danny Boy
The Shemira statue was carved a great 18th Century master and is coming to Japan. Kiyo tells Zatch the experiencing the statue is exciting like a ten-foot yellowtail. Zatch decides to go to the museum to see the statue. Mr. Goldo and his mamodo Danny have transported the statue to Japan. Mr. Goldo calls Danny, "Danny Boy," and Danny does not appreciate being treated like a boy.
28 - Tia and Megumi’s Excellent Adventure
Zatch and Kiyo are going to hang out with Megumi and Tia. The girls had invited Kiyo and Zatch to the amusement park. On the train, Tia is excited to get on the roller coaster with Kiyo. The girls decide to walk around town in order to waste some time before the boys arrive. In one of the boutiques, they meet a woman in a beautiful dress who asks Megumi to exchange outfits for a little while.
29 - The Amusement Park Battle
Kiyo and Zatch arrive at the amusement park much earlier than Megumi and Tia. They decide to go inside and take a look around. Meanwhile, the mamodo Purio and Zoboron, and their spell book owners, Rupa and Hige, are walking around the same park. The four had formed a tag team to make up for their weaknesses, and had come to Japan to look for opponents. Kiyo and Zatch see Purio and the rest of their team trying to destroy the amusement park’s facility, and lure them to the empty pool.
30 - Zatch and Tia: A Fierce Combination
At the amusement park, Kiyo and Zatch battle against the enemy tag team of Lupa and Purio + Hige and Zoboron. When Megumi and Tia arrive on the scene, it becomes an even battle. Tia is burning with anger because her day off with Kiyo and Zatch has been utterly ruined. Lupa and Purio come at them with fierce speed, but Megumi and Tia drive them off. Due to attacks from both sides, adhesive fluid strikes Kiyo and company from all directions.
31 - The Cute Transfer Student (Part 1)
Part One of Five in the Mamodo Mirror Series
One day, Zatch is chasing a yellowtail in the ocean, when he finds a fragment of a broken mirror. Zatch takes a fancy to the shiny object and brings it home with him. Meanwhile, a mysterious arrives in town. The next day, a transfer student arrives at Kiyo’s school, Shion. Her sunny disposition changes when she sees Zatch’s mirror, hinting at a dark secret.
32 - Shion’s Secret (Part 2)
Part Two of the Five Part Mamodo Mirror Series
Shion begs Zatch to give her the fragment of the mysterious Mirror, but Zatch tells her it’s his treasure and is not willing to give it up. Shion seems to have a mysterious reason for wanting it, and vows to retrieve it by any means necessary. Finally, she decides she must steal it.
33 - The Joining of the Three (Part 3)
Being given the final piece of the Mirror from Zatch, Shion takes them to Grisor, who has the remaining piece. Kiyo and Zatch want to learn more about the Mirror, so they tag along. Grisor greets them humbly in his small, ramshackle apartment. According to Grisor's story, if you have the powers of the Mirror, you are able to escape the battle for King of the Mamodo World. But when the Mirror was brought into the human world, it was broken into three pieces and scattered around the globe.
34 - Tears Soaked in Sunset (Part 4)
Kiyo and Zatch, along with Shion and Nya go after Grisor who has stolen the restored Magic Mirror. Dr. Hakase leads Grisor with a wireless radio and draws them into a trap that they had prepared beforehand. However, Kiyo and his friends overcome these traps with Nya’s powers. Dr. Hakase reveals that the magic mirror’s power does not let you escape the battle to decide the mamodo king, and that what he had told Shion and Nya was a big lie.
35 - The Final Mirror Battle (Part 5)
Kiyo and Zatch try to look for a chance to attack, but instead they are shot down by the horrifying destructive powers of Grisor’s flame. Grisor and Dr. Hakase are overjoyed with the new ultimate power that they have acquired. Kiyo and Zatch argue that a power that they had acquired by depending on an object is by no means true power. Dr. Hakase and Grisor attack them intending to finish them off.
36 - Collision: Zatch vs. Naomi
After a scary nightmare where Naomi tortures Zatch, he leaves the house with unusual zeal, thinking that he will finally beat Naomi in a series of challenges and make her stop bullying him. Kiyo decides to take Ponygon and Suzy to the zoo to see a visiting lion. At the park, Naomi pulls a number of dirty tricks and cheats her way to victory. Zatch races towards her, but falls into a large hole… another trick.
37 - Battle in Hong Kong
Kiyo is looking at his spell book and walking with Zatch, when a girl suddenly appears, grabs his book, and flees. When the two follow her, the girl, is waiting, bows her head and apologizes. Her mamodo partner is imprisoned on an island near Hong Kong, and she wants Zatch and Kiyo to help her rescue him. The girl’s name is Li-en. Her father is a big criminal boss in Hong Kong.
38 - Battle in Hong Kong (Part 2)
Zatch, Lien, and Kiyo go to rescue Wonrei, and are attacked by the mamodo Zabas and his partner Galliont. Zatch and Kiyo fight back, but are unable to penetrate Zabas' wings. Meanwhile, Lien takes that chance to run over to the jail cell and get Wonrei out, but he surprises her by telling her to go away. The reason he left Lien was because he feared getting her involved and possibly hurt. Though beaten up by Zabas' attacks, Zatch and Kiyo scold Wonrei harshly.
39 - The Invisible Hunter
The Takamine Family goes to a hot spring inn in the mountains. When Zatch and Kiyo come back to their room after enjoying the springs, there is a map to a secret spring nearby in their room. Kiyo and Zatch decide to explore this spring, not knowing that this was a scheme that had been plotted by a terrifying hunter… Two silhouettes watch Kiyo and Zatch walking along the mountain roads from afar. They are Baransha, a panther-like mamodo, and her partner Garza.
40 - Big Brother Kanchome
Kanchome carelessly climbs into a traveling circus troop’s truck after seeing some candy and is taken away from Folgore… again. In the town of Monte Frio in Spain the clumsy Kanchome keeps failing at his circus act and longs to be reunited with Folgore. On his day off, he meets a little girl named Rushka, who is surprisingly pleased with Kanchome’s silly circus act. He soon finds out that a mamodo and his evil partner Fredo are plaguing Rushka’s small rural town.
41 - Invincible Kanchome
To get back Rushka’s sheep, Folgore and Kanchome challenge Bago and his partner owner Fredo to a battle. With their transformation spells, Kanchome appears strong but his powers remain weak. But Kanchome dodges the enemy’s attack with the techniques he had learned with the circus troop. Folgore is proud of how much Kanchome had grown. Kanchome transforms into his enemy, Fredo.
42 - Coldhearted Foes
Zatch catches a cold, and is left alone at home, so he sneaks to Kiyo’s school, only to cause a ruckus. Amidst that hullabaloo, Zatch collapses due to his fever. Kiyo takes Zatch to the nurse’s room, when Apollo appears. Kiyo notices that Rops isn’t there. He learns that a mamodo destroyed Rops’ book, sending him back to the mamodo world. Apollo tells him that the mamodo looked very similar to Zatch.
43 - Praying Mantis Joe: The Hero of Justice
Zatch wants to see the Praying Mantis Joe live show at Mochinoki Department Store. Kiyo won’t go with him, so Zatch takes Ponygon. They meet up with Suzy and the teacher’s Wife, who are also going to department store to buy various items on sale. At the department store, Zatch witnesses Praying Mantis Joe taking off his costume and is even more upset when the man inside looks rather weak. Everyone else is disappointed with his or her own items, as well.
44 - Invitation to a Duel
Bari, a powerful mamodo, feels unsatisfied with the level of his competitors and seeks a challenge. His partner Gustav, tells him about Zatch’s success in battle, so they set off to find him. Zatch accepts Bari’s challenge, but feels a mysterious strength lurking in his opponent. The battle scene is an abandoned factory. Bari scares off some loitering hoodlums, but two girls are left behind. Thanks to Kiyo and Zatch, the girls’ escape unharmed, but Kiyo suffers a hard blow from Bari.
45 - Zatch vs. Bari
Powered by their unyielding drive for victory, Kiyo and Zatch crush Bari with their Bao Zakeruga! But when the smoke dissipates, Bari is still standing! With Kiyo utterly exhausted, Zatch stands up to Bari. Bari tries to smash Zatch, but freezes when he sees Zatch’s determined eyes. Gustav realizes that Bari can never beat Zatch until he has an equally compelling mission like Zatch’s goal to become a kind king. Infuriated, Bari declares that he will become the strongest, most powerful king.
46 - Ponygon’s Close Call
Zatch and Kiyo are wounded both physically and mentally. Ponygon starts to feel useless, because he has never battled. So he decides to go on a journey with his spell book to look for his human partner! Ponygon offers his book to everyone that passes, but nobody pays attention to him. Finally, Ponygon meets Doronma, a man with a familiar face, and shows him the book. It seems like the man notices something. Just then, Zatch arrives at the scene.
47 - Rumble in the Snow
Brago and Sherry are searching for mamodo in the mountains, when Brago senses trouble nearby. The two rush over and find a giant grizzly about to attack an old man and a scared young boy named Jeff. Brago’s spell drives away the bear. After a while, Brago comes back with the captured bear. He tells Jeff to become strong. The next day, crooked land developers threaten to destroy Jeff’s house. Jeff bravely stands up to them. As Brago senses Jeff’s courage, his spell book glows.
48 - The Mystery of the Stone Tablets
Tia asks Zatch how many mamodo he has fought thus far. Zatch remembers the numerous enemies he narrowly defeated, as well as the kind mamodo who became their friends. Kiyo comes home carrying a spooky stone tablet that looks very similar to the one Kiyo’s father had in England. They decide to do some research, but nothing seems to help. Tia proposes that they undergo special training to prepare themselves for battles. So they train hard in the mountains until they are all exhausted.
49 - Doctor Riddles and the Majestic Twelve
Kiyo and Zatch wonder how they will ever get strong enough to make Zatch king. To do so, they must uncover the mysteries of the spell book. Just then, a small puppet-like mamodo named Kido and his partner Doctor Riddles appear. They challenge Kiyo to a contest against a group of super-powered beings called The Majestic 12. The following day, Doctor Riddles comes again to challenge the two to a battle. Riddles says he will teach Kiyo the secrets of the spell book if Zatch and Kiyo can beat him.
50 - The Sixth Spell
During their fight against Dr. Riddles, Kiyo and Zatch launch their Sixth Spell, but they cannot identify its powers. Finally, the spell subsides and Dr. Riddles casts his own spell, which causes multiple Mini-Kidos to emerge and attack Kiyo and Zatch. Kiyo asks Zatch to remember what he thought about when they cast the Sixth Spell. Whatever it is, it might be the basis for the power of the spell. Zatch realizes his power and attacks the Mini-Kidos with speed, stopping another powerful attack
51 - The Masked Mamodo
Suzy comes to visit Zatch and Kiyo, but seems to be under a hypnotic spell. She brings an invitation to a party from a mysterious stranger named Milordo-Z. Kiyo deduces that the invitation is a trick. Zatch and Kiyo go to the party, only to find a group of people all under a hypnotic spell. The masked Milordo-Z and his partner appear and they offer to join forces with Zatch and Kiyo to ensure a kind king wins the battle, but our heroes are suspicious.
52 - My Beloved Zatch
Kane, Yamanaka and Iwashima challenge Kiyo to a series of physical contests, wagering sumptuous side dishes from the special school lunch on each event. Meanwhile Penny, a cute girl mamodo and her partner Uri arrives looking for Zatch. Penny had fallen in love with Zatch at first sight, but unfortunately Zatch does not remember her at all, angering Penny who launches a wild attack on Zatch! Zatch flees into Kiyo’s school. When Penny chases after him, Kiyo realizes that she is a mamodo.
54 - Battle at the Park! Zatch vs. Kiyo!?
Zatch and Kiyo finally have a day to play! Zatch is especially happy because he gets Kiyo all to himself! On the other hand, an over-zealous Zatch is dragging around Kiyo! Eventually the whole gang joins in the fun and they all have a great day at the park. Ending the day, Zatch and Kiyo build a sandcastle, but their peace is short-lived as Penny drops in announcing she will burn Zatch’s book!
55 - Penny’s Revenge! Assassins on the Loose!
Penny has brought 3 ancient mamodo warriors from a thousand years ago to help defeat Zatch. Kiyo notices that the mamodo’s partners seem odd, Penny explains to them Milordo-Z is behind all of this and that he has erased their emotions
but preserved their anger and their will to fight, making them the ultimate fighting machines. Hearing this Kiyo and Zatch burn with anger, but their strength from within is spent. Thankfully Tia and Megumi show up to lend a hand!
56 - The Light of Hope, Saifogeo!
Tia and Megumi help defeat Penny’s mamodo warriors with their new spells, Giga La Seoshi, an enhanced shield and Saifogeo, an amazing spell of recovery that helps Kiyo regain his strength from within. The defeated mamodo’s human partners regain their consciousness after their books are burned, but they have completely lost their memories. One of them has a mysterious looking tile that could hold a clue to where Milordo-Z is hiding. Tia, Zatch, Kiyo and Megumi vow to find Milordo-Z and prevent him from becoming King.
57 - Battle on the Sands: Brago vs. The Silent Rulers!
Zatch, Kiyo, Tia and Megumi chase off Penny and her remaining mamodo warriors. They head back to Kiyo’s house to examine the tile that could hold clues to Milordo-Z’s whereabouts. Meanwhile in an African savannah, Brago and Sherry battle the “Silent Rulers,” three infamous mamodo feared a thousand years ago for their devastating synchronized attack. 58 - Defeat Milordo-Z! Each Person’s Resolve!
Kiyo is immersing himself in his father’s archaeology texts and is closing in on the location of the tile’s origin. Megumi and Tia also help, but Megumi is feeling the pressure of her busy life as a high school student and pop star. When Ponygon goes out to find the owner of his spell book, a dog runs by and steals his book. Luckily, a man who gently takes the book stops the dog and starts looking through it…could this man be Ponygon’s partner?
53 - So Giaku! The Water Dragon of Rage!
Penny’s persistent water spells are relentless and Zatch and Kiyo are suffering terribly, while Penny delights in their misfortune. Observant Kiyo realizes that the reason Penny is so filled rage is because Zatch doesn't remember her from the mamodo world. He tries to get Zatch to make up with Penny but Zatch can’t bring himself to accept a date with her. This misstep ends up making Penny angrier and a clash of the most powerful spells ensues!
59 - Charge Into the Ruins! Kanchome’s Strategy!
In the midst of their journey to the ruins, Zatch, Kiyo, Megumi, Tia, and Ponygon run into Kanchome and Folgore, who were also convinced by Dr. Riddles to join in the quest to defeat Milordo-Z. Together they proceed into the ruins where they encounter Gelios and Alm, two ancient mamodo. A frightened Kanchome doubts his own abilities but Kiyo has faith in him and asks Kanchome to lure the two mamodo into a large room. Using Poruk, Kanchome and Folgore succeed in luring their opponents away, but more danger awaits!
60 - The Labyrinth’s Angry Torrent!
Gantz, another thousand year-old mamodo suddenly appears behind Kanchome and Folgore! Zatch and Kiyo overwhelm Alm with their synchronized movements but surprisingly, Alm rebounds to bark commands at his partner. Kiyo is shocked to find out that not all mamodo are completely controlled by Milordo-Z. Alm’s strength is derived from the pain and anguish he experienced during a thousand years of imprisonment. Witnessing Alm’s pain strengthens Zatch’s resolve to free all ancient mamodo and their human partners from Milordo-Z’s manipulation.
61- Spell of Sorrow
Kiyo and Zatch engage in a fierce battle with Alm and Gelios. They counter Alm’s strongest spell with Bao Zakeruga and eventually overpower the ancient mamodo duo with the help of Tia and Megumi. As Alm’s spell book burns he tells Zatch some very important information about the mamodo from a thousand years ago…
62 - Impact of the V! Very Melon!
Zatch and company proceeds through the Devolo Ruins. They stop in a large hall to rest and regain their power from within. As they enjoy a melony snack a new ancient mamodo appears! Victoream is angry that no one notices him, and when they do, he is seething with anger! In an attempt to appease him, Folgore offers a slice of delicious melon…but will it work?
63 - Burrah! Victoream’s Anger!
With their strength seriously weakened, everyone must work as a team to maximize their few chances to attack Victoream. Kiyo crafts a tricky plan to take him down but will Victoream catch on before they can pull the wool over his eyes?
65 - Ponygon’s Lightning Speed!
Ponygon has returned with his partner Kafk Sunbeam to help Zatch and Kiyo! Kafk reads the first spell “Shudoruk,” and Ponygon morphs, armor-clad and battle-ready. He dashes towards Dalmos and fearlessly pounces on him, all the while effortlessly evading his attacks. During the battle, Zatch and Kiyo look on in awe and realize Ponygon’s spell book is glowing brighter and brighter…
66 - The Red Spell Book of Promise
In their short time together Ponygon and Kafk unlock their second spell and win their first battle! Exhausted and relieved, they collapse.
Laila brings back a fragment of the Stone of Moonlight to help restore their strength. She also warns them that their other teammates who escaped earlier are in danger of being attacked by a team ancient mamodo sent into town! Will they make it in time to help their friends?
67 - The Wonderful Majestic Twelve Return!
The Ancient mamodo begin their attack on Apollo and the others. Zatch, Kiyo, Sunbeam, and Ponygon arrive just in time to help Tia. A showdown is about to happen when Dr. Riddles quickly summons his twelve super-powered friends!
68 - Tia’s Plan to Confess!
Back at base, Dr. Riddles talks about meeting Sherry and Brago. All the other mamodo are shocked that Zatch and Kiyo have battled Brago and lived! Tia wants to thank Zatch for saving her earlier but she’s shy and just can’t find the right moment to say it, but with Megumi’s support, Tia is able to finally convey her feelings.
69 - Zofis’ Evil Desires!
The team leaves their base and head toward the ruins. They are able to proceed smoothly into the ruin but are stopped by Zofis on a precarious stairway that spans over a lake of lava. After a heated exchange, Zofis proceeds to demolish the stairway!
70 - The Four Supreme Mamodo!
The stairway collapses and the team is scattered but they manage to split up into three groups and escape into separate paths into the ruin. Little do they know that every path will lead to a powerful Ancient mamodo lying in wait for them!
71 - The Roar of Rao Diboren!
Everyone is having a hard time trying to defeat their respective “Supreme Mamodo.” Zatch’s team is having a hard time trying to figure out the secret behind a hidden mamodo’s attack. Belgim E.O is terrorizing Dr. Riddles’ team! Lien’s team is trying to defeat Tsao-lon a mamodo skilled in his martial arts attacks and Megumi realizes something odd about his partner Gensou…
72 - Sing for Your Lives! The Terrible Belgim E.O.
Belgim E.O. is very bored after being imprisoned in stone for a thousand years. He orders Dr. Riddles’ team to perform for him, if they impress him, he says he will them pass through an entryway, if they bore him, he will destroy them!
73 - Dr. Riddles, You’ll Always Be My King
Dr. Riddles' new strategy seems to baffle Belgim, and the team uses this to their advantage. But a surprising miscalculation ends up injuring Dr. Riddles. With the Doctor injured, Kedo fights with all of his might. Kedo calls upon the wisdom that the Doctor has taught him and comes up with a brilliant strategy all on his own, but sadly his spell book starts to burn.
74 - Pamoon, the Celestial Warrior!
Kedo has returned to the mamodo world. Dr. Riddles quickly picks himself up leads the way further into the ruin. Kiyo’s team finally encounters the powerful hidden mamodo who has been controlling the deadly stars. His name is Pamoon. While Kiyo is scanning Pamoon’s eyes to predict where he may attack next, Pamoon stops and notices something familiar about Kiyo and Zatch…
75 - Free Yourself From A Thousand Years of Pain!
Pamoon laughs off Zatch and Ponygon’s attacks. He remembers back in the past when he too used to fight like Zatch and Kiyo, and got trapped in stone. He dismisses them as naïve. As Pamoon fires off countless attacks, Zatch counters each blow, determined to stop a battle that’s waged out of fear and intimidation.
76 - No Escape! Wicked Zofis Returns!
The team realizes that Zofis has been using the fear of being imprisoned in stone to manipulate the Ancient mamodo. Zatch begs Pamoon to stop fighting and offers his friendship. Seeing Zatch fight bravely frees Pamoon from his fear and he offers to help in his quest to defeat Zofis. As Pamoon is leading them to the Stone of Moonlight, Zofis appears…
77 - The Return of Sherry and Brago
Zofis summons his Ancient mamodo army to take down Zatch and his team. Weak and out of strength from within, the team finds themselves in a tight spot. Suddenly a familiar spell rings out…
78 - I Won’t Go Back! Laila’s Dark Solitude
The reunited team leaves Zofis to Sherry and Brago at their request. Laila and Albert appear, Kiyo and Zatch are happy to see her, but she is trying to stop the team from destroying the Stone of Moonlight. Kiyo knows that Laila is acting this way out of fear, so he attempts something risky to regain her trust!
79 - The Last of the Four Supreme Mamodo
Zatch and Kiyo are reunited with their friends, and Laila and Albert also join up to fight Zofis. Fully recovered thanks to the Stone of Moonlight, the group brace themselves for the powerful monster that awaits them inside the chamber.
80 - The Crazed Warrior: Berserker!
Wonrei is wounded and Tia is still unconscious! Kiyo stands motionless, unable to move, while facing Demolt, the last of the Supreme Mamodos. Laila notices that a change has occurred in Demolt who was only supposed to be able to use direct attacks...
81 - Victory at Any Cost!
Zatch and the others are outraged at Vile’s motive. Kiyo and Zatch exhaust their whole bag of tricks in an attempt to find a weakness in Demolt. However, damage to Demolt is seemingly impossible!
82 - Selfish Penny’s Goodbye
Zatch and team get into another tight spot when Demolt starts using his powerful spells. In the midst of all this, Uri is happy about the change that has occurred in Penny!
83 - Zagurzem, the 7th Spell!!
Penny succeeds in destroying the Stone of Moonlight, and the tables have been turned in the battle between Sherry, Brago and Zofis. Zofis loses his impregnable shield after the Stone of Moonlight is destroyed!
84 - The Final Battle with Demolt!
Zatch’s seventh spell, Zagurzem, is revealed in his book! Kiyo realizes it is a powerful spell that charges up lightning in an opponent’s body and gets it to explode by striking with another spell. In a surprising turn of events, Demolt has become fiercer and more formidable by swallowing his partner Vile.
85 - Sherry & Koko: The Bond That Can’t Be Broken!
Koko reveals herself to Sherry and Brago. She admits that she has become Zofis’s partner of her own volition. After that, she mercilessly attacks Sherry and Brago!
86 - Zofis Strikes Back: The Final Showdown of Friendship!
Sherry resolves once again to rescue Koko from Zofis’s control. She weakens Zofis with her spell and sets out for a counterattack! Zofis brings Sherry and Brago to a standstill, but then an unexpected attack is launched!
87 - Save Koko! Sherry’s Dioga Gravidon!!
Kiyo, Zatch and the others overpower Zofis with their power of teamwork. Their attack seizes Zofis at last as Kiyo attempts to land the finishing blow!

Sherry and Brago challenge Zofis in a final battle! Zofis no longer has any leeway and plots to distract Sherry. However, Sherry anticipates this, clutches Koko in midair and averts a crisis!
89 - A New Year’s Special: The Magnificent Victoream!
Kiyo and Zatch have at last returned from the fierce battle in the ruins. They are spending a peaceful New Year’s Day together with Ponygon when Folgore and Kanchomé visit them!
90 - The Hurricane Test Battle!
Suzy has a gut feeling that this is the day Kiyo is coming back. She leaves her house excited to finally be able to see her friend!
91 - NAOMI’S EVIL PLOT!
Zatch and Ponygon happily agree to help Kiyo’s mom with some shopping. On their way they end up at the playground and find the place in shambles!
92 - Dr. Riddles’ Renewed Vow
Folgore and Kanchomé are concerned about Dr. Riddles’ depression. The Majestic 12 beg them to snap Dr. Riddles out of his rut, but it seems even Folgore’s “special act” won’t get them anywhere.
93 - A Voice from Another World!
Dr. Riddles has been investigating a phenomenon that is connected to some ruins in Nara, Japan, and asks Kiyo and Zatch to investigate.

Zatch’s new friend Majiro has been defeated by Sherry and Brago! Zatch can’t understand why they did that and initiates an attack against Brago!

Zatch, Kiyo, Brago, Sherry and Ponygon get sucked into the In-Between World, a place located between the Mamodo and human worlds. It’s also a prison where those who have committed crimes in the Mamodo world are exiled.

The ruler of the In-Between World, Maestro schemes to escape and has summoned Zatch, Kiyo, Ponygon, Brago and Sherry for the sake of his own ambitions!
97 - Maestro’s Revenge on the Mamodo World!
Maestro finally has his wish granted as he has succeeded in forcing open the door leading to the Mamodo world. Zatch, Brago and the others realize that they have been used!
98 - The Decisive Battle in the In-Between World!
With escape only possible with Zatch’s and Brago’s power, Maestro cleverly sets a trap. In order to put a stop to it, Zatch and Brago put aside their differences and join forces!
