is a Mamodo kid who was sent by Kiyo’s father to mentor the young man. Zatch has amnesia and has no idea that he is a powerful Mamodo until Kiyo reads from his spell book.
Kiyo
is a 14 year-old young genius. When he meets Zatch and starts reading from the red spell book, he begins to grow into a better person.
Hyde
is a Mamodo kid that resembles Zatch, and has magical wind powers.
Suzy
is Kiyo’s schoolmate, who has a crush on him.
Eido
He’s Hyde’s human companion, who has a soft spot for the girls.
Reycom
is a Mamodo kid with ice powers, and an adversary of Zatch.
Hosokawa
is Reycom’s human partner who uses his Mamodo’s power for evil
Brago
is a Mamodo kid who has the power to control gravity
Sherry
is Brago’s human partner, who wants nothing more than for the Mamodo battle to end.
Sugino
has the power to use plants to defeat his opponents. He also teams up with Zatch to battle their enemies.
Haru
he’s not the friendliest character. He uses his Sugino’s power for his own fun and games
Kolulu
although she is the youngest Mamodo kid, Kolulu becomes vicious and evil when spells are read from her spell book.
Lori
is a human girl who, after finding Kolulu on the street, cares for her as a little sister
Zofi
is an evil Mamodo kid, who finds a way to manipulate her human partner and make her heart cold.
Koko
Once a kind, warm-hearted person, Koko turns cold when she is manipulated by her Mamodo partner, Zofi
