Ep 1 - Playing with a Full Deck
Shobu is a kid who loves to play Duel Masters with his friends. After winning a low-level tournament, he is befriended by Knight, an enigmatic dude with a cool red sports car.

Ep 2 - It's Not Easy Being Green"
Shobu meets Mimi, a clueless duelist. The overseer of the temple training center, Master, takes an interest in Shobu and begins monitoring his progress. Shobu defeats Jamira, a cheating duelist from the temple.

Ep 3 - Toru Toru Toru
Another temple player challenges Shobu. Before Tohru can meet our hero across the card table, he's ambushed by Kokujoh, who replaces him in the match and tricks Shobu into making an illegal move.

Ep 4 - Toru Toru Toru - Part 2
Defeat causes Shobu to doubt himself. Inspired by stories of his dad's dueling prowess, Shobu builds a new deck and challenges Kokujoh to a rematch. Win or lose, Shobu has fun as he improves his skills.

Ep 5 - I'll Be a Monkey's Brother
Knight invites Shobu to participate in a big tournament. Shobu wins 10 games in a row, defeats a pair of brothers and advances to the finals.

Ep 6 - Wok on the Wild Side
Shobu watches an exhibition match between Toban-Jan and Hakuoh, Japan's premiere duelist who travels with his own entourage, the White Soldiers. Hakuoh wins, of course, and snubs Shobu's challenge.

Ep 7 - White Boys Can't Charm
On the last day of tournament play, Shobu is among the top 16 players and advances to the finals. Hakuoh and Master privately share their contempt for the less expert duelists.

Ep 8 - Duels of Futures Past
Tricked again by Jamira, Shobu almost misses his final match with Tohru, but Knight rescues our hero. Meanwhile, a mysterious robed woman threatens Tohru with expulsion from the temple if he doesn't illegally switch decks. He doesn't, Shobu wins again and Mimi reappears.

Ep 9 - A Goblin Shall Lead Them
Over Knight's protests, Shobu rejects the JDC Training Center to accept Master's invitation to the temple. Shobu correctly answers a riddle to gain admittance and is given a single coin. When a player loses all his coins in duels, he's expelled from the temple.

Ep 10 - Shobu Gets Decked
Inside the temple, Shobu collects 40 coins his first day but loses 39 matches and coins the next. Shobu's friends, lead by the suddenly superhumanly strong Mimi, break into the temple. Mimi persuades Shobu to change his deck and, 49 games and 50 coins later, he advances to the next level.

Ep 11 - The Ballad of Kintaro
Shobu wins the key to the next temple level and a chance to duel with Kintaroh. Mimi's acting weird again. Knight tries to prevent the match, but is stopped by a mysterious robed person. Things look bad for Shobu.

Ep 12 - The Ballad of Kintaro...Part II
Shobu prevails, but he and Kintaroh agree it was an exhilarating match. Shobu is invited to join the elite White Soldiers, and Kintaroh is kicked out of the temple for losing a game. Shobu is enraged, vowing to teach Hakuoh it's wrong to betray a friend.

Ep 13 - When You Gotta Go
Shobu meets and is quickly defeated by Mikuni, the first of Hakuoh's four Guardians. Kintaroh offers to help his pal Shobu diversify his deck, and that mysterious robed person slips a new temple key into Shobu's mailbox.

Ep 14 - Looney Mikuni
With a new deck and another key, Shobu enters the temple and demands a rematch with Mikuni. Shobu defeats Mikuni, but both agree dueling is great fun. Mikuni is expelled from the temple.

Ep 15 - Strange Twist of Fate
Shobu builds another deck and advances to duel with Guardian 2. It's Mimi! She's no novice, and she's a 20th-level black belt in karate who can punch holes in walls when frustrated.

Ep 16 - Yes, Master
The duel between Shobu and Mimi is heroic. Shobu wins using a risky move, and Mimi implores Shobu to help Hakuoh regain his joy in dueling. Mimi is expelled from the White Solders and remains friends with Shobu and his pals. Suddenly, a robot attacks.

Ep 17 - Oh Brother, What Art Thou?
The robot is controlled by Guardian 3, Gyujiroh, who humiliates Mimi and destroys her stuff before consenting to duel with Shobu. Shobu builds a new deck and begins dueling unaware that Gyujiroh can see everything using his hidden cameras. Mimi bashes Gyujiroh's spy equipment.

Ep 18 - Cable Guy
Gyujiroh lowers an unbreakable glass shield around their duel. After Shobu makes an amazing play to take the match, Gyujiroh begins weeping about his sick sister and begs Shobu to let him win. Before Shobu can concede, Mimi saves the day and Shobu advances to play the last Guardian -- Kokujoh!

Ep 19 - The Sound of Dueling
Outside it's dark and stormy, and Knight pleads with Hakuoh to call off the duel before some one gets hurt. Shobu builds a new deck and his match with Kokujoh, a.k.a. the Grim Reaper, begins. As Kokujoh plays, the creatures on his cards exhibit signs of life. It's become a kaijudo duel!

Ep 20 - Kokujoh Strikes Back
Shobu brings his creatures to life, too, and the game evolves into a real-life, sudden-death match. Master shares some personal secrets as the tense duel continues. It looks like Kokujoh will triumph, but Shobu wins! Shockingly Kokjoh is physically hurt in the final attack, and Shobu declares he will shutter the temple.

Ep 21 - The One Where Shobu Duels Hakuoh
Thousands of fans gather in Hakuoh's stadium-size dueling room to witness the final showdown between the supreme White Soldier and Shobu. It's a kaijudo duel from the beginning and all the creatures come to life. Not wanting to hurt anyone, Shobu tries to evacuate the audience. Hakuoh warns Shobu that if he leaves the table he forfeits the match.

Ep 22 - Just Duel It
It's a pitched battle between Shobu and Hakuoh. Shobu draws strength from the power of friendship. Encouraged by the cheering crowd, Shobu breaks Hakuoh's last shield but stops short of a final attack. Shobu is clearly the winner, but he doesn't want to injure Hakuoh. Master goads the players to end the game, but Hakuoh has a change of heart.

Ep 23 - The Crying Game
Shobu is listless after his big win, so Knight sets up an all-ages tournament. George, a diaper-wearing baby, has a tricky deck. He beats Iron Matsudaira in the first round and then bests Mimi in the semi-finals. George prepares to meet Shobu for the final duel.

Ep 24 - Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?
Just before their match, George kidnaps Shobu and, using his rocket-powered baby buggy, drags our hero to an isolated table in the wilderness for a kaijudo duel. It's a close game, but Shobu wins and again stops short of allowing his final creature to hurt his opponent. Dr. Root shows up in a giant robot.

Ep 25 - Something Wacky This Way Comes
Dr. Root challenges Shobu to a kaijudo duel; Shobu accepts. It's a tight match, but Dr. Root wins in the end and has no problem with inflicting the final blow. Knight arrives too late -- Shobu is seriously injured.

Ep 26 - What's a Mana You?
Shobu wakes up in Dr. Root's hospital. He is a broken duelist, afraid to play. Shobu watches Mimi duel Tekkamen, a man in an iron mask, but Shobu is terrified of the final attack, even though it's just a card game. Is this the end of Shobu the duel master?
