About the show:
Shobu Kirifuda loves to play the trading card game, Duel Masters – a game where awesome battles are fought between wild beings - and it’s no wonder given that he’s one of an elite few with the ability to bring the creatures to life!
It’s from five mythical civilizations, each corresponding to either Nature, Fire, Water, Light, or Darkness, that mystifying creatures are brought into our world through Shobu’s skill and passion; as well as his mastery of the martial art, Kaijudo.
As he competes in Duel Master tournaments, Shobu meets interesting characters who try to defeat or manipulate him for their own gain as his mad skills represent a threat and a power that many want to possess.
But despite any of the villains and pitfalls he encounters, Shobu competes for one simple reason – he just loves to battle.
