01 - Bleach 1
Meet Ichigo Kurosaki, age 15. He’s a high-school student who possesses the uncanny ability to see ghosts. But when he meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper from the Soul Society who helps lost souls find peace, his not-so-normal life becomes even more abnormal. In order to save his family from the grips of a Hollow, an evil spirit that preys on humans, Rukia lends some of her powers to Ichigo. Much to her surprise, he absorbs most of her powers and in turn, he too becomes a Soul Reaper.
02 - Bleach 2
It’s the morning after Ichigo’s transformation into a Soul Reaper, and no one in his family has any recollection of the events. Even the memory of him slaying a hollow is forgotten. He heads off to school, where he finds Rukia in the awkward guise of a transfer student.
03 - Bleach 3
Unfortunately, not all souls pass on and are properly into the Soul Society. Sadly they are abandoned and become Hollows. In the midst of this transformation, they lose their hearts and seek out those they loved most while they were alive.
04 - Bleach 4
Chad, Ichigo’s classmate and friend, is given a cursed cockatiel. He brings the bird to school, along with a plethora of injuries to his large body. Sensing spirit energy in the bird, Rukia feels they need to perform a Konso on the cockatiel and help its soul pass on.
That evening, an injured Chad is brought to Kurosaki Clinic. Ichigo and Rukia sense the presence of a dangerous Hollow emanating from Chad's wound. The following morning, Chad bolts from his hospital bed and is nowhere to be found.
05 - Bleach 5
With Rukia's diminished powers and Chad’s inability to see Hollows, they struggle in their battle against Shrieker, a Hollow who has beaten many Soul Reapers and committed many vicious crimes. Meanwhile, Ichigo races to get Karin home as she collapses from the shock of seeing the tragic memories of the spirit within the cockatiel.
06 - Bleach 6
In need of certain Soul Reaper supplies, Rukia heads out to Urahara’s Shop where the owner, Kisuke Urahara, is both mysterious and aloof. She picks up her order, including Gikongan, which forces the soul out of the user’s body. But when Rukia gives Ichigo a Gikongan, a completely different Ichigo starts to run amok…
07 - Bleach 7
Ichigo and Rukia set out in search of Ichigo's body which has taken over by a Mod Konpaku. Ichigo finds it at an elementary school, but the Other Ichigo has become too strong and flees. In the midst of battle, Rukia receives word from her Kikanshiki of a Hollow sighting, but the battery dies and she is unable to confirm its location.
08 - Bleach 8
The 17th of June is the anniversary of the death of Masaki Kurosaki, Ichigo’s Mother. And on every June 17th, the Kurosaki family drops everything to pay respects at her grave. Ichigo intended to take a day off from Soul Reaper duties, but finds Rukia waiting for him at the cemetery. When she learns how Ichigo's mother died, Rukia suggests that perhaps the Hollow who came after him was the one who killed her.
09 - Bleach 9
The Grand Fisher, a Hollow who uses a lure to seek out humans with strong spiritual energy, appears before Ichigo. He is shocked by the sight of the lure, which has the shape of the young girl he saw when his mother died. Filled with rage and disbelief, he attacks the Grand Fisher. But losing his calm makes Ichigo an easy target while Rukia, who comes to Ichigo's rescue, is barely any match for this Hollow.
10 - Bleach 10
When television hero Don Kanonji schedules a live recording of his hit show “Spirit Hunter” at a local abandoned hospital, Ichigo reluctantly attends the hyped event alongside his fanatical friends, family and neighbors.
11 - Bleach 11
Rumor aboud concerning Ichigo and Rukia’s relationship since her soul pager sends them hollow alerts, leading them to leave their group of friends abruptly to respond to the calls.
12 - Bleach 12
In order to prove how useless Soul Reapers are, Uryu Ishida dispenses bait that lures Hollows to Karakura Town. Out with his friends for lunch, Chad senses a the presense of a Hollow.
13 - Bleach 13
Orihime discovers special powers of her own when an Octupus-like Hollow appears shows up to school and attacks her fellow classmates with special seeds. As Orihime tries to defend herself against the Hollow, the seeds have turned her unassuming classmates against her.
14 - Bleach 14
As the contest between Ichigo and Uryu continues, it is revealed that Uryu is one of the few living Quincies. The Quincies and Soul Reapers have a long-running rivalry that resulted in the near annihilation of all Quincies.
15 - Bleach 15
Rukia begins to worry that news of Ichigo’s battle with Menos Grande will attract the attention of the Soul Society. While spending time with their classmates participating in the activities of day-to-day school life, Ichigo, Rukia and Uryu each find themselves starting to feel more and more out of place.
16 - Bleach 16
As Rukia wanders the streets at night, she is discovered by two Soul Reapers from the Soul Society, Renji Abarai and Byakuya Kuchiki, Rukia’s brother. One of them, A lieutenant named Renji Abarai, demands to know where the human who took her powers is.
17 - Bleach 17
When Renji proves not strong enough to defeat Ichigo, Byakuya unexpectedly steps in and nearly kills Ichigo with a move from his zanpaku-to. With Ichigo lying down, Rukia agrees to return to the Soul Society with Renji and Byakuya and atone for her crimes.
18 - Bleach 18
It’s the last day of school before summer vacation, and while the rest of the students in Ichigo’s class are discussing their plans for the summer, Ichigo is preparing to begin training with Urahara to enter the Soul Society and save Rukia. Under Yoruichi’s guidance, Chad and Orihime begin their own training in order to learn to use the new powers awakening in them.
19 - Bleach 19
Rukia learns that in twenty-five days, she’ll be taken to the Central Execution Grounds to face her punishment. Ichigo, Chad and Orihime continue their training, each struggling to become comfortable with accessing and controlling their spiritual powers.
20 - Bleach 20
Ichigo completes Lesson three of Urahara’s training and learns the name of his zanpaku-to. He is granted some rest time before receiving a startling call for a meeting at Urahara’s shop. At Urahara’s Shop, Ichigo learns that Chad, Orihime and Uryu have also been training for the journey to the Soul Society and he meets Yoruichi, a black cat with spiritual powers.
21 - Bleach 21
Uryu, Orihime, Chad, Ichigo and Yoruichi struggle past the cleaner and make it through to the Soul Society. They land in the Rukon District, a town on the outskirts of the Seireitei-where the Soul Reapers live.
22 - Bleach 22
Jidanbo succumbs to defeat and opens the Hakuto Gate, where Gin Ichimaru- the Captain of Squad Three, waits on the other side. Determined not to allow the gate to be opened to any intruders- particularly Ichigo and his entourage- he shuts the gate after blasting Jidanbo and Ichigo with his zanpaku-to.
23 - Bleach 23
Just as Ganju and his boar-riding gang are about to battle Ichigo and his friends, Ganju realizes it’s Nine O’Clock and is forced to make a sudden departure. Ichigo’s entourage is confused by Ganju’s sudden departure, but quickly remember their main responsibility to find a way into the Seireitei and save Rukia.
24 - Bleach 24
Ichigo and his friends learn that Kukaku’s plan is to shoot them into the Seireitei via her very own creation, the Flower Crane Cannon. In order for the cannon to work, each of them must learn to concentrate and control their spirit energy.
25 - Bleach 25
As preparations are made for the launch into the Seireitei, Ichigo, Uryu, Chad and Orihime work on harnessing their spirit energy. Yoruichi reminds them to stick together and remember that their goal is to save Rukia.
26 - Bleach 26
As they are catapulted into the Seireitei, Ichigo, Ganju, Yoruichi, Orihime, Uryu and Chad are separated and land in four different locations. Ichigo and Ganju wind up together and are challenged by two unassuming Soul Reapers.
27 - Bleach 27
Inside the Seireitei, orders are given and a full-fledged search for the Ryoka is called into action. Rukia is transferred to the Shishinro Repentence Cell to await her execution and it is becomes more imperative that Ichigo and his fellow Ryoka learn of her whereabouts soon. Ichigo and Ikkaku's fight dramatically comes to a close; Ganju and Yumichika challenge each other's tempers during their continued battle; and Uryu and Orihime find themselves trapped in a raucous chase by a group of Soul Reapers.
28 - Bleach 28
Forced to stay alert and on their toes. Ichigo and the others continue to be hunted by Soul Reapers. Uryu and Orihime struggle to outwit Squad 11's Captain Zaraki and Lieutenant Yachiru in their ongoing chase, but end up in an even more threatening encounter with Jirobo, a towering Soul Reaper, who quickly identifies Uryu as a Quincy. Yumichika's obsession with vanity is amplified as Ganju relentlessly tries to conquer him in battle. In his search to find Ganju, Ichigo finds himself chased by a new slew of soul reapers as he makes his way through the maze of walls.
29 - Bleach 29
Uryu's days of training pay off as he is able to protect Orihime and himself from Jirobo and his zanpaku-to, known as Tsunzaki Garasu. Ganju and Ichigo finally run into each other, but each brings with them a trail of angry Soul Reapers. Their attempt to hold the weak and unappreciated Hanataro hostage fails when they learn that he is a member of the weakest squad. Meanwhile, Captain Kurotsuchi questions Ikkaku about the intruding Ryoka with no success. However, when Captain Zaraki arrives, Ikkaku's tongue begins to loosen.
30 - Bleach 30
Hanataro leads Ichigo and Ganju toward the Repentance Cell where Rukia is being imprisoned using an underground network of sewage system passageways. As Hanataro guides them, he recounts the stories that Rukia had told him about her time in the world of the living with Ichigo. Upon their arrival just outside the White Tower, Renji Abarai appears and challenges Ichigo to a fight to the finish. Uryu and Orihime, still separated from Ichigo and Ganju, sense Ichigo's rising Spirit Energy as he prepares for battle against the powerful Lieutenant.
31 - Bleach 31
As Renji and Ichigo engage in battle, Ichigo remembers his days of intensive training under Urahara prior to entering the Seireitei. Ichigo is forced to face and overcome his biggest fears as he proves that he has indeed developed into a opponent strong enough to face Renji.
32 - Bleach 32
Renji faces defeat, and in his last living moments, recalls his youth, struggling as a poor street kid with Rukia in "Hanging Dog" aka the Seventy-Eighth District of South Rukongai. He describes how they both came to move to the Seireitei to become Soul Reapers, and Rukia's adoption into the noble Kuchiki family. As Renji struggles to atone for the sins of his life, he blames himself for Rukia's forthcoming execution. In his final breaths, Renji asks Ichigo to promise to save Rukia.
33 - Bleach 33
Back in the world of the living, Karin and Yuzu find themselves entrusted with a mysterious cat that falls from the sky which draws the attention of a number of deadly Hollows. Along with Jinta and Ururu, they are recruited by television personality Don Kanonji to learn how to fight bad spirits and protect their town. Although they are skeptical about working under Don Kanonji's leadership, they are excited about becoming television stars, known as "Karakura Superheroes."
34 - Bleach 34
After word spreads of Renji's defeat, an all-out war is declared on the Ryoka, allowing all Captains of the Seiretei permission to carry and release their zanpaku-tos. However, Momo Hinamori becomes increasingly suspicious about the changes taking place around her. In the underground sewage tunnels of the Seireitei, Hanataro continues to treat Ichigo's wounds inflicted during his battle with Renji.
35 - Bleach 35
When Captain Aizen is discovered slain and hung, Hinamori quickly suspects Ichimaru. In a bout of revenge, Hinamori tries to attack Ichimaru, but is stopped first by Lieutenant Kira and then by Toshiro Hitsugaya, the captain of Squad 10. Ichigo and Ganju continue to receive healing treatments from Hanatoro until they are well enough to continue their journey to the White Tower. Meanwhile, Chad learns the whereabouts of Rukia and the White Tower and makes his own way toward the Senzaikyu, unaware that he has been detected by Lieutenant Ise and Captain Kyoraku.
36 - Bleach 36
As Ichigo, Ganju, and Hanataro make their way to the top of the Senzaikyu staircase, they sense an unprecedented, vast amount of unrecognizable spirit energy. The source of this spirit energy reveals itself as Kenpachi Zaraki, the captain of Squad 11, who Ichigo had been earlier warned of during his battle with Ikkaku Madarame.
37 - Bleach 37
Chad's journey to the Senzaikyu is interrupted by the Captain of Squad 8, Shunsui Kyouraka. Kyouraka's laid-back mentality and attempt to convince Chad to retreat irks Chad and tries his patience. Chad realizes that time is of the essence and that he must proceed to meet the rest of the Ryoka. As Chad starts to battle, he has flashbacks to the world of the living where he is reminded of his promise to Ichigo.
38 - Bleach 38
Chad continues to persevere against Captain Kyouraka. Ichigo, still battling Captain Zaraki at the Senzaikyu, senses a loss of Chad's Spirit Energy and fears for the worst. Ichigo grows angrier and more determined as his sense of responsibility for the rest of the Ryoka increases, leading him to stand up to Zaraki in battle...
39 - Bleach 39
After being attacked by Captain Zaraki's sword, while lying weak on the ground, Ichigo is greeted by a metaphysical version of his zanpaku-to, Zangetsu. Zangetsu takes Ichigo to develop his understanding about the nature of his zanpaku-to. When Ichigo calls a surprised Captain Zaraki into battle again, he has a renewed confidence in the strength of his fight.
40 - Bleach 40
Ichigo and Captain Zaraki lie motionless on the ground after their battle. Zaraki admits defeat and remains alive just long enough to recount his meeting with Yachiru. Yoruichi finds Ichigo and takes him away for treatment. Ganju and Hanataro continue toward the White Tower to save Rukia. When they arrive in Rukia's holding cell, Ganju realizes that Rukia is not who he expected her to be...
41 - Bleach 41
Yoruichi's true form is revealed, much to Ichigo's surprise. Ichigo finds a mysterious mask that he remembered Hanatoro throwing into an underground tunnel. Sensing great Spirit Energy near the Repentance Cell, Ichigo defies Yoruichi's orders and flees to assist Ganju and Hanatoro. Captain Kuchiki and Captain Ukitake are both surprised by Ichigo's Captain-like level of Spirit Energy. Rukia is upset with Ichigo for coming to the Soul Society, but it does not sway Ichigo's determination to save her...
42 - Bleach 42
Yoruichi appears as Ichigo prepares to face Squad captains Kuchiki and Ukitake. In order to save Ichigo from a fool's battle, Yoruichi pounds an anesthetic into Ichigo, rendering him unconscious. Yoruichi's flash steps prevent the two of them from being struck by Kuchiki, and she promises to return in three days when Ichigo will be stronger. Meanwhile, Orihime decides that she and Uryu should disguise themselves as Soul Reapers to reach Rukia's cell.
43 - Bleach 43
Orihime and Uryu, dressed as Soul Reapers, are met by members of Squad 12 who offer to help them, but Uryu quickly realizes that it is a trap. Squad 12's Captain Kurotsuchi presents himself to Orihime and Uryu, criticizing Uryu as a Quincy who has no chance of winning this fight. Uryu orders one of the remaining members of Squad 11 in the area to take Orihime and run away, acknowledging the fact that Kurotusuchi is more interested in her than a mere Quincy. As their fight progresses, Kurotsuchi's actions and words become increasingly more provocative and infuriating to Uryu.
44 - Bleach 44
ryu has taken it upon himself to avenge the humiliation of Soken Ishida, his Quincy master and grandfather, by continuing to relentlessly battle Captain Kurotsuchi. Uryu draws upon all of the lessons he has learned, and powers he has skillfully obtained, leading Kurotsuchi to decide that rather than kill Uryu, he wishes to capture him so as to study his distinctive powers.
45 - Bleach 45
Yoruichi trains Ichigo, educating him about the potential to transcribe a zanpaku-to's main form and materialize it. He is moving toward bankai training from the shikai training of dialogue and harmonization, and to do so he must face and conquer difficult challenges set forth by Zangetsu. Uryu, Ganju, and Chad are reunited in a shared prison cell, where they wonder why their wounds have been treated and they haven't been killed. Orihime has also been captured and kept alive, although she is in a different holding location.
46 - Bleach 46
Momo recalls her training at the Soul Reaper Academy, where she recounts meeting and being a member of a group field training session with Izuru Kira and Renji Abarai where they must venture to the World of the Living and participate in a training exercise against Dummy Hollows. It is also at the Soul Reaper Academy where she first meets Captain Aizen, where he compliments her as a outstanding student among her classmates.
47 - Bleach 47
Momo, Renji and Kira have all escaped from their cells. Momo, having read the letter that Captain Aizen left for her, believes that she understands the true reason behind Rukia and that she has identified Aizen's killer. However, when faced with the presumed culprit, Momo weakens with confusion and the possibility of a faked letter becomes increasingly evident. Meanwhile, Ichigo completes Day 1 of his training under Yoruichi, and uncovers some interesting background information about Kisuke Urahara aka Mr. Hat and Clogs.
48 - Bleach 48
Rukia's execution date is advanced to a final time on the following day. Toshiro wonders if the acquisition of the Sokyoku is actually the intent of Ichimaru. Renji Abarai joins Yoruichi and Ichigo on the same training ground, with the similar goal of attaining bankai. Renji brings with him news of the twenty-nine hour countdown to Rukia's execution. In her holding cell, Rukia has a revealing dream that she understands as preparation of her strength and comprehension of the next day's events.
49 - Bleach 49
Within Rukia's dream, she recalls the past which she spent training under Lieutenant Kaien and Captain Ukitake. The young Rukia admires the Lieutenant very much, and has a difficult time acknowledging what she must do after his body is taken over by a Hollow, set to attack the rest of her Squad members.
50 - Bleach 50
In the world of the living, Don Kanonji searches for a way to save his television show, as its ratings continue to plummet. He discovers Kon- the mod-spirit trapped inside the body of a stuffed animal- and decides to make Kon the mascot of his show. After naming Kon, "Karakura King", he is able to attract Yuzu, Jinta, and Ururu back to his cause, and they become Karakura Pink, Yellow, and Red: superheroes of Don Kanonji's television show.
51 - Bleach 51
Preparations are underway for Rukia's execution, when Ganju, Uryu, and Chad receive unannounced visitors to their prison cell. Kenpachi, Yumichika, Yachiru along with Orihime, break into the prison cell to assist the Ryoka in an escape. Once they are discovered by Captain Komamura, Captain Tosen, Lieutenant Iba, and Lieutenant Hisagi, Kenpachi is left to prove his strength once again.
52 - Bleach 52
As Ichigo continues his Bankai training, Renji emerges from his own Bankai training to save Rukia. But standing in his way is none other than his own captain -- Byakuya Kuchiki. Does Renji have the strength to defeat his one-time comrade or will he be ripped to shreds?
53 - Bleach 53
As Rukia Kuchiki is being lead to her execution, she is stopped by the ever-devious Gin Ichimaru. Just when Rukia has prepared herself for death, her concentration is broken by Gin's offer to let her live and her concern over Renji, whose pain she can sense. Driven by his intense hatred for Kenpachi Zaraki's bloodlust, Kaname Tosen, along with his confidant Sajin Komamura, challenge Kenpachi to a fierce battle between captains.
54 - Bleach 54
Rukia stands on the Sokyoku at the brink of her execution, not knowing that help is on the way. Captain Ukitake, Captain Kyoraku, Ichigo, and his dedicated comrades are all racing to save her life. Will they make it in time or will the power of one million zanpaku-to consume her life?
55 - Bleach 55
While Renji hurries to get Rukia out of harm's way, Ichigo stays behind to hold off Byakuya Kuchiki. Though Rukia was wrong about Ichigo's ability to save her from execution, she does not believe that he can survive another battle with her brother. In an attempt to distract Soi Fon, Yoruichi comes to Ichigo's aid and battles her. At the same time, Captain Ukitake and Captain Kyoraku are in hot water as Head Captain Yamamoto takes the punishment of his two most trusted captains into his own hands for their assisting in the rescue of Rukia.
56 - Bleach 56
Captain Ukitake and Captain Kyoraku face the punishment meted out by Head Captain Yamamoto's zanpaku-to. Ukitake and Kyoraku were the first two men to graduate from the Soul Reaper Academy, but even though they are two accomplished captains fighting as allies, the odds do not appear to be on their side. After coming to Ichigo's rescue, Yoruichi learns that her encounter with former subordinate Soi Fon is going to be much more than just a scuffle. After one hundred years of training, Soi Fon has developed plenty of talent as a warrior, though she may be a bit too sure of her skill.
57 - Bleach 57
Fueled by anger and feelings of abandonment and betrayal, Soi Fon persists in her attempt to destroy her former master Yoruichi Shihouin, but her abilities may be hampered by her cocksure attitude. At the execution site, the battle between Ichigo and Byakuya Kuchiki continues. Having completed his bankai training, Ichigo has a newfound confidence that may be the key factor in his attacks against Byakuya.
58 - Bleach 58
The fierce battle between Ichigo and Captain Byakuya rages on. Ichigo taunts Byakuya and demands that he use his bankai against him, while Byakuya remains visibly unmoved by Ichigo's amazing display of power. Meanwhile, Uryu, Chad, Orihime, Ganju, and their new Soul Reaper friend, "Mini Mustache," are having trouble navigating through the Seireitei. Ichigo may be out of luck if he needs his friends to come to his aid this time.
59 - Bleach 59
Byakuya Kuchiki may have been impressed by the power exerted by Ichigo, the substitute Soul Reaper, but he's not done fighting yet. With spiritual pressure shaking the entire Seireitei, Orihime, Chad, Uryu, and Ganju wait helplessly nearby, knowing that all they can do is hope that their friend Ichigo will survive this vicious battle.
60 - Bleach 60
Central 46 is the highest judicial body in the Soul Society. After breaking into Central 46, Captain Hitsugaya and Rangiku discover that the forty Sages and six Judges were slaughtered days earlier. Captain Hitsugaya and Rangiku soon find that they are not the only ones that have come to investigate the scene.
61 - Bleach 61
After defeating Hitsugaya, Captain Aizen heads for the Execution Grounds. Renji is dumbfounded as he finds himself facing Captains Aizen, Ichimaru, and Tossen at Sokyoku hill, the very same place that he was carrying Rukia away from. Captain Aizen demands Renji to put Rukia down and disappear, but there is no way Renji is going to abandon his childhood friend.
62 - Bleach 62
Furious after hearing the news of the defection of three captains, Sajin Komamura arrives at the Sokyoku ready to beat the treachery out of Aizen and his lackeys. Captain Komamura quickly realizes that deception is even a part of Sosuke Aizen's fighting technique, and the rogue captain proves to be more of a challenge than he expected. Ichigo, battered after his clash with Byakuya Kuchiki, lies helplessly on the sidelines, watching this battle between captains.
63 - Bleach 63
Peace returns as the Soul Society recuperates from the deep wounds left by the treachery of Captain Aizen and his partners in crime. Captain Komamura and Lieutenant Hisagi visit the graves of fallen comrades, while Hitsugaya visits Hinamori and hopes for her quick recovery from the wounds she received from Captain Aizen. Ichigo has recovered from his own injuries, and in the district of Squad Eleven he meets up with Orihime, who informs him that Rukia has gone missing.
64 - Bleach 64
Ichigo and his friends have returned from the Soul Society and are finally able to get back to their "normal" lives. On the first day back at school, Renji shows up unannounced, dressed in his out-dated seventies' fashion. Since things have settled down in the Soul Society, Renji has been sent to Karakura Town to oversee the eradication of Hollows, and Ichigo has no choice but to work with him. Meanwhile, Yoruichi has become aware of an unusual presence in town.
65 - Bleach 65
Ichigo and his friends meet at school and set out to look for Orihime the day after her disappearance. It seems that her school chums have lost all memories of her existence. The only clue that Ichigo and the others find at the site of her disappearance is a bizarre, round footprint. Renji gets a call on his Soul Pager telling him, "I have your friend. You'll get her back if you win."
66 - Bleach 66
After Chad's kidnapping, Ichigo and the others go to Urahara to explain their predicament. Ichigo receives a phone call from Lirin who instructs Ichigo to bring all of his friends to the Karakura Museum. Though they know they are walking into a trap, they go to the museum and immediately find themselves stuck inside a labyrinth that they must navigate their way through in order to free their friends.
67 - Bleach 67
Chad and Orihime are rescued, but when Lirin tells them that one of their friends has been replaced by an impostor, they realize that the game is not over. Ichigo, Renji, Uryu, Chad, and Orihime struggle to figure out which one of them is the phony, and if they don't hurry, all of their classmates will disappear.
68 - Bleach 68
Lirin sets in place a giant gate that begins to devour everything in Karakura Town. The only way to have Chad released and save the town is to destroy the gate. Ichigo and the others have only thirty minutes before the gate sucks up everything in the vicinity. Meanwhile, Yoruichi and Soifon discover a strange soul wandering the streets of the World of the Living.
69 - Bleach 69
New information has come to light regarding an unusual race known as Bounts. Kisuke Urahara explains that Bounts are beings that gain eternal life by absorbing the souls of humans. Urahara warns Ichigo that he and his friends may be in danger because Bounts tend to target humans with high-level abilities. Lirin, Noba, and Kurodo prove to be very useful when it's revealed that they all contain reishi sensors that can detect Bounts.

Ichigo and Lirin find themselves in a pinch when they are attacked by the Bount Yoshino Soma and her Doll, Goethe. An unexpected visit from Rukia comes just in the nick of time, but she and Ichigo appear to be outmatched when the Bount Ryo Udagawa and his Doll, Friede, join the fight.

Ichigo, Rukia, Orihime, Chad, and Uryu surround the Bount Ryo Udagawa, but they find themselves at a slight disadvantage when he releases the immense power of his Doll, Friede. Friede's snakelike attacks are quickly directed towards Uryu when Udagawa finds out that Uryu is a Quincy.

Upon visiting Uryu in the hospital, Ichigo and Rukia must fight off a wave of rushing water that turns into a water doll belonging to two malevolent Bounts.

As Ichigo and his friends try to fight off Ho and Ban, the two Bounts, Udagawa tries to persuade Yoshino, a renegade bount, to return to Master Kariya's fold.
