Fry (Phillip J. Fry)
Fry is a pizza guy-turned-intergalactic delivery boy who was cryogenically frozen for 1000 years. This makes him 1025 years old, but he physically looks 25. In his new life, he lives with his robotic friend Bender and works for Planet Express, a company owned by his great (x30) nephew, Professor Hubert Farnsworth. He has an unrequited crush on Leela, the captain of the Planet Express.
Leela (Turanga Leela)
Leela is a beautiful, one-eyed alien who is the only known member of her species on Earth. She used to work as a fate assignment officer, but Fry convinced her to quit and work with him on the Planet Express. She is now captain of the delivery ship, owned by Professor Hubert Farnsworth.
Bender (Bender Bending Rodriguez)
Bender is Fry’s best friend and roommate, not to mention a dysfunctional, alcoholic, cigar-smoking, gambling, kleptomaniac robot. After he graduated from college, Bender enjoyed a successful career bending girders, but upon discovering they were used for suicide booths he tried to kill himself. He was rescued by Fry, who found him a job as a cook on the Planet Express.
The Professor (Professor Hubert Farnsworth)
The Professor is Fry's great (x30) nephew, and only living relative. He is 160 years old. Professor Farnsworth owns Planet Express (where most of the characters work) which he uses to fund his inventing. His catch phrase is, "Great news, everyone!" which is typically followed by bad news.
