Sitekick® User Rules
Welcome to Sitekick! In order to keep the game fun and fair, we've come up with some rules that players should follow:
- You may not take advantage of a bug, glitch or game oversight in order to increase your level, experience points, rank, game status or to get Chips.
How we deal with it:
Sometimes this is not done on purpose so we do keep that in mind. We will most likely give you a warning and/or suspension unless it's clear that you've taken advantage. If that's the case, we could delete your Chips or lower your Rank. If you continue to tamper or have taken advantage of the glitch over and over and over again then your account could be deleted.
- You may not hack or change the way a Chip or game feature (i.e. Dock, Chipendium, Showdown etc.) was intended to look or function.
How we deal with it:
Sometimes there can be a glitch that makes a Chip look different on your Sitekick so we do keep that in mind. If there is not a glitch and you are tampering with the coding to make a Chip look or act differently from what we intended, we will most likely give you a warning and/or suspension. In some instances we could delete your Chips, lower your Rank or delete your account without warning.
- You may not use a computer 'app' or program (third party software) that is not designed by us and that is not part of the game to enhance how the game is played or mess with the data in the game.
How we deal with it:
We take a look at what you were trying to do with the program. We may delete your Chips, lower your Rank or delete your account without warning.
- You may not hack or change the data that goes from us to you or from you to us- or even data between you and other players or us and other players. Don't mess with the data.
How we deal with it:
If you've been tampering with data we take a good look at what you were up to. We may delete your Chips, lower your Rank or delete your account without warning and if it's really bad we may have to let authorities know. This means the cops, yeah...it's serious stuff.
- You may not communicate about a bug, glitch or game oversight that can increase your level, experience points, rank or game status on YTV Forums or externally on interactive forums. Please report any bugs or game oversights to membership@ytv.com.
How we deal with it:
Most of the time we catch those posts before they go live on the boards but we also realize that players might not know it's a glitch. So we do take that into consideration. When you post about a glitch that other players take advantage of, it really takes the fun out of the game. We're active about scanning the internet for mentions of our game on other forums. If we find that a player is always trying to post about a glitch either on our boards or somewhere else, we will notify the player and let them know it's not cool. We may delete your Chips or your account, but only in extreme cases.
- You may not trade or auction your items, Chips or accounts for real world money, items or items in third-party games.
How we deal with it:
If we find out that this has been happening to your account we will delete your account. We may also delete accounts in our game that you've illegally traded with.
If you think that your player data has been changed or tampered with then you should email us at membership@ytv.com from the email you used to set up that account. We will check our records then will try our best to get your Sitekick back to normal- but we can't promise.
Remember: you should never share your password with anyone and you should make it something that's not easy to guess. If you allow someone to log into your account with your password, then unfortunately there is nothing we can do. If rules are broken it puts the account at risk.
Sometimes we have to take our games down to do maintenance work on them. Most of the time we will give you a warning, but there may be times when we don't notify you beforehand. We may also change how the game is played. Most of the time we fill you in on what we're up to on the message boards under Sitekick News, but we could change gameplay without warning.
