Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon - Read my topic review of him. Not that good. He's to be used as binder fodder until we get Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Sorcerer of Dark Magic - A little more playable, especially with the next set where there is an easy way to Special Summon him using the new fusion monster and Magical Scientist. Theinen the Great Sphinx - Then watch after you power him up, your opponent either activates Ring of Destruction to destroy him, or Magic Cylinder to reflect attack. You are paying 1500 Life Points to bring this guy out, then another 500 to power up with an extra 3000 ATK making him 6500. Plus you have to get Andro Sphinx and Sphinx Teleia to die at the same time in order to Special Summon him. Chaos monsters still own this guy.

Pyramid of Light - Well you need this to bring out the Sphinxes. Obviously a staple for a Sphinx deck. Inferno Tempest-With no monsters in Graveyard or Deck, you're left with the ones in your hand and field. All you'll be drawing is Magic/Trap cards until one of you decks out. Hopefully if you have a Dimension Fusion or Return from the Different Dimension, you can bring back monsters that were removed from play (to the maximum of 5 monster card zones of course). You also have to take 3000 Battle Damage to your Life Points in 1 attack, meaning direct hit from creatures like Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, Theinen the Great Sphinx, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, an Injection Fairy Lily using her effect, or giving your opponent a Lava Golem and letting it hit you, and so on.

Familiar Knight - A decent card. Hopefully if your opponent has no level 4 monsters in hand, then you'll be the only one who gets to Special Summon 1. Obvious choices are cards like Tribe-Infecting Virus, Berserk Gorilla, Terrorking Archfiend, 1900 beatsticks like Archfiend Soldier and Gemini Elf, and even the new Rare Metal Dragon. Rare Metal Dragon - He is a 4 star monster, not a 6. However, he can't be Normal Summoned or Set, only Special Summoned. Besides the dump and revive method, you can use cards like Familiar Knight above to bring it out, or Marauding Captain's effect. Return from a Different Dimension - If your deck revolves around removing monsters from your own Graveyard, this is a good card that can be used to bring them back, and it's for you only.

Andro Sphinx and Sphinx Teleia - Obviously staples for a Sphinx deck. Don't put them anywhere else. Watapon - An ok effect. Could work in a Magical Scientist. But other than that, there are better monsters to use as either tribute fodder or for stall tactics. Peten the Dark Clown - Yeah you're right, he does suck. The only thing I see useful is to thin out your deck to get closer to the cards you need, but there are other better deck thinners.

Well the only one I would want is Sorcerer of Dark Magic cause he would be good for my Dark Magician deck. 3200 ATK making him stronger than BEWD, and the ability to negate trap cards without a cost, kinda like what Horus Flame Dragon Lvl 8 does with magic cards.
