PS Meeting 2005: Browsing On PSP by Anoop Nix
July 21, 2005 - The net capabilities of the PSP have already been explored in small doses with the clever WipEout Browser hack, but it will be the PSP version 2.00 update due next week in Japan that really delivers on the promises of this system's online integration. Included in the newest system update is a full-blown browser for PSP, which you can use to connect to a compatible hotspot and get online to check the net and do what you need to do while on the go.
The new browser is a full-blown feature on the PSP menu, a new icon to go along with Music and Movies and Games as a fourth form of entertainment to play with on the portable. Sony Computer Entertainment gave a demo of the new PSP browser at its PlayStation Meeting 2005 this afternoon in Japan. Here's what we know about how it works from the show demo.
The PSP browser's feature set includes Favorites feature to set your favorite sites up for easy access. You will also be able to define a Home page for your starter page once online. For URL input, there is a slightly modified version of the dial-a-letter standard virtual PSP keypad, with quick access to typing "http://" or ".com". Also making things handier is an autofill feature, where the system attempts to help complete your URL without you having to dial the whole long list in.

When i first heard about this i was like this is going to be wicked and then i thought. It is going to take for ever to type in the url or messages and the anolog stick is a horrible mouse but this is still very cool.
