Yea thats right Rap is the most meaningful gengre. Well atleast it is now. Rappers make songs about there life , or stuff that happend that they whitnessed. Rock and pop ect don't mean anything anymore. They do it for the money and fame. These Days rap is the only gengre of music that has meanngful to the songs. Like eminem , tupac , Rakim , Nas and other rappers have meanignful to there song. So who agrees with me.

I find a couple of alternative rock bands/musicians still seem to speak honesty and feeling in their music. That's why I listen to them. You an kinda tell when someone doesn't mean a single word they say in a song. Rather annoying too... <_<

Unfortunetly, I think that Rap is just a vulgar and dirty set of words put to horrible beats and then passed of as music. If Rappers write about their life, I sincerely hope I never have to associate with one.

I agree and disagree. I agree becasue I have heard some meaningful raps about stuff they went through. But at the same time I have heard meaningful rock and pop songs; though I do see where you're coming from.

90% of current rap artists are only in the for the money, and have sold out. If you're referring to Biggie, Tupac, etc. Then we can feel free to bring up people like The Beatles, Queen, etc.
Yes, there is some meaningful rap material, but obviously that comes with the fact that there is meaningful everything else. :|

Rap and Hip Hop are a joke. It is by far the most manufactured and meaningless genre out there(okay maybe tied with like really bad Britney Spears style pop).
I find it insane that you think rock is all about the moneya nd is meaningless while you believe rap is built around truth and integrety? are you talking about like AC/DC or w/e? Because yeah, their songs have like zero meaning, but punk and alt-rock bands have so much meaning to their music. They have messages. Where as what is Eminem's message? "Haha I hate you Mariah Carey"? Haha, Rap's depth is majorly exagerated. There's no real message in a lot of cases. Sure maybe some rappers have a message, but really... Eminem, Soulja Boy, Jay Z, 50 Cent, Kayne West, Flo Rider(Probably the worst offender), etc. are all super commercial, and are all about the money. Maybe there is some maening, but they're after the money a lot more than rock musicians are, and the meanings are often pretty weak.
Meaning in rap is faint, while meaning in rock is still far from dead, alive and well in fact. Listen to some rock songs more carefully, those musicans have messages, which is a lot more than can be said for the likes of Flo Rider or modern Eminem.
