This is to rock-lovers again. You guys enjoy flaming us but we never did anything to you. Why? I ain't sure. Maybe it's 'cause you guys love your stuff too much and stamp on other things that ain't like your choices. This is like racism except in music. I'm not trying to say ALL of you do this but some of you just enjoy being clowns and flaming other people's choices. That's just wrong. But I'll try to make a peace offering. A ceasefire contract. All who want to stop war reply. If you want the war to go on, I'd gladly have the liberty to start something. I'm not afraid of a useless comment or two. Do whatever you want. Just say something about the topic.

I enjoy rap and I listen to Kanye West though I only like four of his songs on his new CD. And thank you for your compliment. I'd also like to reply to your question. I didn't post this in the rock section since I know rock-lovers would either ignore me or violently flame me. I'm not afraid of a few petty comments but my post wouldn't matter there. That's why here music-lovers of all kinds can reply to this not just rockers.
Rap-lovers here also come around. I want them to stop fighting back and start trying to make peace even though rock-lovers started all this. I'm not a hater, I'm a peace-maker. Peace-keepers don't exist because there was no such thing as peace in the first place. I want to change it starting with music. Peace and thanks, Myra_11.

Quest for Fire, I appreciate it but I think you got my message backwards. I like RAP not ROCK. Rock is a depressing and angry music used as a conspiracy by the Klan to send negative messages to the youthful mind so they can continue their legacy of hatred. I am almost completely against rock. It also reminds of racism in so many ways.
Sorry to burst your bubble but I'm trying to tell rockers that can't take other kinds of music to get off rap-lovers backs. We support rap by buying their music and do nothing else. Rockers usually make fun of "Gangsters" and rap music... but it gets too much. Why flame our music when its not even something you like to listen to? I could just as easily say: Rock is just a bunch of screaming kids who're going through extreme depression. That'd get you angry if I went on about how Rock music is terrrrible even though I know nothing about it! Just like rock music lovers know nothing of Rap, if you even knew the history, the TRUE history, and the legendaries, you'd know. But you don't choose to. Instead you decide to say, we're exploiting women, we're talking about guns and girls. Thats basing it on ONE rapper. Thats not fair. Don't even try to say Eminem is good cus he aint all that... Anyways, its wrong and since you know nothing about rap (clearly shown when someone says something like that) then don't say anything about it. Things would be so much easier if you minded your own business. I hate it when they suddenly pop up flaming my music all of a sudden after I say:
"I like rap. Rock is ok though."

Come on, why would I when I don't like rock? I shouldn't and I wouldn't. Numerous times I've tried talking to those rockers in a civilized fashion like now but it gets me so mad when they come right back at me with all this stereotypcial stuff that totally doesn't mean a thing. Please just realise for once that you need to stop doing that! All I've ever seen is rockers start flaming my music CONSTANTLY. Its getting too much, and it really bothers me ever since that first time I tried reasoning. It didn't work... and I didn't know why. I told them how I didn't hate rock, I just didn't listen to it and that rap was just my fave music. Don't bash it. But they still bash it repeatedly.

Then hey talk about their successes and, in a way, it's like they're trying to say how a poor guy can turn into a star and get money. Most black rappers do so since some of them happen to start off in a poor street filled with crimes. Like 50. He started off as a guy that lived with his grandma and he hustled. But once he turned his back on his workers he ended up getting shot nine times. Some people say he only raps about women but that ain't true. Why would he rap ONLY about women after all that?
I listen to rap because it's always about life. It's about their troubles in life and about everything. That's why I enjoy to watch it. Rock though, has only anger, depression and other negatives feelings. I see very little reason to watch it but if others do then I wouldn't bother them. Peace.

I am a humungeous metal fan and when people say My Chemical Romance is one million times better then distubed, Metallica, Ac/dc ect.. ect..
then they are just plain bragging.
And ONE12 you have somethings wrong in your post

I know more than the average person here about the history of rap and I can tell you that most of the discussion about rap on these boards IS about rappers who promote violence, drug use etc. I would suggest enlightening people as to what rap music and artists preach a good message. If you listen to music that you think carries a deep meaning and has a positive message say so, don't expect others to know the same things you do. Show other rap listeners that there is music other than what's currently popular, and maybe some fans of other genres might actually begin to appreciate what rap is/should be about
