I have a DS but I'm also getting a PSP too. The DS isn't THAT good. The only reason I got it is because I want to try the touch screen, it has light, dual screens, be able to play GBA games, good graphics and other purposes. I want a PSP because I like listening to music and it has good graphics, light, DVD player and other purposes.

If you really aren't sure, then wait for awhile for more games coming out because both the DS and the PSP don't really have much games right now, and I'm pretty sure the DS will have quite a few good games in a few months.

Psp is great, except the screen goes after a while, not dead pixels, but when a person moves when you watch a video, you will still see the light where the person just moved.

o and battery isn't everything. its what games you like and if you like what it can do. so would people please shut their mouths about the psp's low battery. and since its lower it won't take as long to recharge plus with both the ds and psp you can stil play while they're charging.

Batteries may not be everything, but they play an important role in handheld gaming. What if you were playing...say Archer Maclean's Mercury. You've been playing non stop, and you've never saved at all. You found out that you're in low battery, and when you're about to save the game, the batteries go out on you.
You see, in that game, it could actually happen to you because there is no autosave, and when you're in low battery, you're left with two choices, you have to either win a stage or quit out to the main menu in order to save. If you pick trying to win, and after you've won, BAM! batteries dies, and you're left with only one option, and that's restarting the game.
| QUOTE | | and since its lower it won't take as long to recharge plus with both the ds and psp you can stil play while they're charging. |
Very few people are going to even play their DS while the PSP is recharging because most people on this forum might only have one handheld, or worse...none.

Okay, I guess I understand what you meant now, and I could still debate to that statement. Even if you could recharge while playing, you're not always going to be staying at home, and that's where batteries become an important factor to playing. Say, you went to a trip (camping, tour bus, etc.) when your batteries dies out, you're screwed, (unless you have an extra battery) so that's my reason why you can't always rely on recharging.

Have you even played Mercury? You basically could finish a stage in under a minute. Do you really want to wait a minute from saving for all 72 stages. That would be so fustrating.

ok theppl you do have a good point about battery is good but i said that because everyone said that " o the battery on psp is so low, its not worth recharging it every time, so get a ds the battery is longer". that just really ticked me off! It's not gonna kill you to recharge it (unless you're on the road or something).I mean that if you've played your psp or ds so long and the battery dies, well, you'll probably learn from your mikstakes ( I know i have) I play games a lot but playing constantly is well, kind of stupid. You have to know when to stop.
