Snake- Yeah just like how the justice system puts people who have tortured in there shoes (Sarcasm). No other form of criminal offence is punished by putting them in the victims shoes.

I don't think capital punishment should be legal. Sometimes, in fact most of the time, the person who commited the crime have many problems of their own, and they don't know what they are doing. e.g. they could be a psychopath. I think they should go to jail or go to an asylum, but not be killed. It's really terrible. They also kill them in terrible ways, with a firing squad or they inject a needle into them. It's just a little too ridiculous, I think.

There was a guy that admittet that he commited 30 cmurders, but the FBI thinks it's really 0 or more, (This was in the States) And he died to the Electric chair. This is illegal in Canada, they don't give that in Canada, if you murdered someone, by accident, because it was self defence, you should die for that. if it was for fun, again you shouldn't die, but if you did it like 5 tim e, death penlty is needed/. In my opion

I would just like to say that if we can, should we not try to rehabilitate these people? Now I imagine that ghostchild, will probably say something like "They cannot be rehabilitated, AND STOP CALLING ME A REPUBLICAN!", to that I say, if we do not bother to try and rehabilitate them then how can we tell if they are able to be rehabilitated or not?

Our government thinks we’re all that because we lower murder and imprisonment rates. But that doesn’t mean anything! We aren’t as nice as the other countries think we are! Don't people these days use the lethal injection method? Because I was looking up information on Wikipedia and they showed a map of the United States, and what state uses what technique for capital punishment. Do people these days EVEN still use hanging as a method of death? Just wondering.
Hey Insecto? I'm not saying all criminals can't be rehabilitated. I'm sure some can, and I'll be willing to give them a second chance, but for certain killers, I'am more heavily reluctant to do so. And why should we? They're going to spend 25 years-life in prison, and they already commited one of the worst crimes possible, so is it practical? Is it nessesary? Should we even care? And what's the point of rehabilitating someone when they're going to die in prison and/or are a cold blooded killer? No one gave such a caring chance to the person your criminal killed.

In the united states, they do use a lethal injection, they used to use the chair but thats in the past. Now in the states they dont use the gallows anymore, however there are still countries to day that use them as a form of execution. *sigh*

Good good. you beilieve some killers can be rehabilitated. and yes, I believe it is practical because if we can find a way to rehabilitate these horrible criminials then why couldnt we try? If we prevent these criminials from being crazy then we could potentially stop these kinds of criminials from emergining in the future.

This just gets more painful everytime I read a new ghostchild post. I had never really said that you were a monster for condoning death penalty, as I said before I try not to look down upon people. And I never said that the murder rate would sky rocket, I said it would stay the same as it is. However figuring out how to cure their thougts would send the murder rate down. Even if its only 0.1% its still worth it to try. Way to shove words within my mouth, I should say.

I'm going to make this very clear: TWO WRONGS DO NOT MAKE A RIGHT. Did you not learn that as a child? Did you never realize that revenge is wrong?
Think of it this way: We kill them. How does it make us any better than what they did? They're just getting what you say "they deserve", but why give them that satisfaction? Why not show that we're still morally above them rather than sinking to their level. If you're an advocate for capital punishment, you're just as bad as the killer.

Why should they get a useless "25 - life" prison sentence? What's the point of that? It's more sensible to kill them for they're crimes, and DIE as a form a justice!
You think all these people who have killed thousands, MILLIONS of human beings deserve to walk the face of the Earth? ARE YOU FOR REAL!?
Suicide attacks/terrorist acts/School shootings/Genocide/Single, or multiple
acts of murder, WHATEVER. They have all killed people, they know what they did was wrong, and they are a threat if they continue to live. The only act reasonable for they're crimes is death.
Why should we give these criminals who are WORTHY of capital punishment a chance to continue living, when the people who they killed weren't given such a option?
When we treat terrorists better than our own citizens something is seriously, seriously, WRONG.
Tell me, when we let people blow up and kill our soldiers, let terrorists scare the nation, let terrorists fly aircraft into our buildings and let hopeless people fall down with them, let people wonder if they’re loved ones are alive or dead, and let them be murdered, doesn’t that anger you? Make you want to retaliate? The only way to do that is to kill them. And I have no problem doing that, because THEY DESERVE IT.

Why should they get a useless "25 - life" prison sentence? What's the point of that? It's more sensible to kill them for they're crimes, and DIE as a form a justice!
You think all these people who have killed thousands, MILLIONS of human beings deserve to walk the face of the Earth? ARE YOU FOR REAL!?
Suicide attacks/terrorist acts/School shootings/Genocide/Single, or multiple
acts of murder, WHATEVER. They have all killed people, they know what they did was wrong, and they are a threat if they continue to live. The only act reasonable for they're crimes is death.
Why should we give these criminals who are WORTHY of capital punishment a chance to continue living, when the people who they killed weren't given such a option?
When we treat terrorists better than our own citizens something is seriously, seriously, WRONG.
Tell me, when we let people blow up and kill our soldiers, let terrorists scare the nation, let terrorists fly aircraft into our buildings and let hopeless people fall down with them, let people wonder if they’re loved ones are alive or dead, and let them be murdered, doesn’t that anger you? Make you want to retaliate? The only way to do that is to kill them. And I have no problem doing that, because THEY DESERVE IT.
