Did anybody else see that story about the whale beached on the shores of my home - B.C?
Yeah. It was horrible.
If you don't know: First, it was on the news, with a few people, genuinely trying to help it, scattered around it. Next thing you know, there's a giant crew of unfeeling monsters taking pictures with it. By the time I saw what had happened (went down to White Rock to see my grandmother in the hospital), it was already dead. I was horrified and furious at those people who just stood there, not even trying to help it. Those people stood around a dying, baby animal that could still have had a chance at life, and took pictures of it. They posed in front of it with their kawaii poses, two fingers up and ducky lips. Well all those people are baka. I still don't understand how people could be so heartless. I bet you only about 10 people there were trying to help it. The others were laughing, like whales are renewable resources you can just beach just so you can get a picture. Like, come on. The beach was like, a 45 second walk. You couldn't have made a line with buckets and tried to keep it moist, alive? Does this story sicken anybody else?
I just blargh Faith in humanity is shattered.
And yeah, you may say that is life... But if you're there and able, why not be kind and try to help the poor thing?
