i dont quite believe that 2012 will happen, but its still a possibility. what i think will happen will be a social economic breakdown and that theres going to be something big, when people say the end of the world, it could really mean the end of world order and that the world wont break but WE will if you know what im talking about

I predict the London 2012 Olympics will happen (obviously), gamers will go nuts over the Wii U, and DACE 6.0 will obviously happen. The world (and Mercury and Venus) actually will end in something like 6 billion years. The sun explodes and we *coughs* melt. Ow.

I was searching the internet and found this article on the NASA website on 2012. I think that world will not end in 2012. Just because the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 does not mean the world is going to end. Also, I was watching videos on youtube and some said that a meteor is going blow up the world. By the time that meteor hits the world, it won't be able to do anything. I have things to prove that the world won't end. In 1999 (The year i was born), they thought the world was going to blow up. Well, it didn't I'm still alive. I think the whole 2012 thing is the 1999 thing all over again the world is not going to blow up.
Question (Q): Are there any threats to the Earth in 2012? Many Internet websites say the world will end in December 2012.
Answer (A): Nothing bad will happen to the Earth in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.
Q: Is there a danger from giant solar storms predicted for 2012?
A: Solar activity has a regular cycle, with peaks approximately every 11 years. Near these activity peaks, solar flares can cause some interruption of satellite communications, although engineers are learning how to build electronics that are protected against most solar storms. But there is no special risk associated with 2012. The next solar maximum will occur in the 2012-2014 time frame and is predicted to be an average solar cycle, no different than previous cycles throughout history.

People will go crazy and everything in the world will be free. Then all of a sudden we can go into T.V shows and our drawings will come alive. Then there will be a huge explosion that wipes everything out in existant too fast for us to recognize. Then we'll all be living on an alien planet that looks like an exact replica of before and people will wonder where the end of the world is without realizing they're dead.

Every channel on TV hosts a cheesy event making fun of the idea that an ancient civilization that couldn't predict being wiped out, but the Mayans could predict the end of the world, then everyone makes a sandwich to eat and goes to bed.
Billions of years later, the Earth is swallowed up by the Sun, at which point humans are either all dead or somewhere in space.
