Alright, so I heard Battlefield 3 is coming out in the fall of this year...and I have to say it is going to be big! I mean, Battlefield 3 happens to be the successor to Battlefield 2 and it really does have greater improvements over the last few games in the series. For example, BF3 will have more weapons, more vehicles, and definitely more destruction and greater graphics than the Bad Company games and BF2!
I saw the 12-minute gameplay video for it, and I was truly impressed by how it looked. They (the people from DICE) have really pinned the whole thing down as far as gameplay is about. However, I did hear about how the PC version will support more players in online multiplayer than in the console versions, and how the graphics will be toned down for the console versions as well. This worries me a bit, but at least I am very interested into getting this game since I do like the Battlefield games (starting from BF 1942).
So, is anyone really interested into getting this game when it hits the stores this fall?

I'm pretty sure you're referring to Battlefield 1942, which happens to be the first game of the series. Yeah, I played BF1942 as well...but that was only before I even became a member of these forums! It was fun, so to say.
Alright, so after I saw the new gameplay trailers from E3, I gotta say I'm DEFINITELY gonna buy this game. I heard that if you buy the PS3 version of Battlefield 3, you get a free copy of Battlefield 1943. That's awesome, and BF3 is coming out October 25!

Wow, I never knew Battlefield 3 would be the winner of 40 awards from this year's E3 convention. It's gotta be that big of a game if it won that much awards...
I also happened to have seen the PS3 version of the gameplay. Given that it is still under development, I can say that it would look as fine as the PC version will be...even the developers said it!

Alright, it's been a long time since my last post here!
The open beta is now underway for the PS3, and I have downloaded it off of the PSN and I'm about to test this game out! I know it's just the beta, but I know it's gonna be awesome...especially when the complete game comes out on the 25th this month!

Huh...it's been a long time since I last posted in the message boards. But, anyway!
@ admaanboy: Well, to be fair, there was only one map being available for the beta (for consoles) and that's Operation Metro. I know it's not that much fun for some, because it's an infantry-only map, but the point of Battlefield is combat with vehicles along with on-foot combat. That being said, there was one other different map for those playing on PCs, and that's Caspian Border. Now THAT is the point of Battlefield: there's tanks, jeeps, helicopters, and jets to use in wide, open maps.
Now, since I got the full game for the PS3, I gotta say it was a blast I had with it. So much destruction, intense gameplay, and I had so much fun playing both the big and small maps. In fact, I recommend getting the Back to Karkand expansion pack for those who already have a copy of the game!
