I've been noticing some commercials on tv that have hidden stereotypes in them. You all know the Kinder Chocolate Bar (or whatever it is) commercial right? Where the kids and the dad are playing hide and seek. Well what about the mom? She's doing laundry. And it says near the end, 'Have you played today?' Well the mom hasn't. She's been doing the laundry. >:|
See what I mean? What have you got to say about this?

Jinx-SAME HERE! i'M blond and i get straight A's!
Anyway, In those DQ comercials they always make the Mom look really good like the hero and the Guy look stupid, like an idiot.
Like thwe one where the parents are fighting over who gets to bring the cake in and the mom does and then she says:
"I got the cake!" And every one cheers. then the guy says:
"Ah, I got the forks!" And one random guy says un happily:
"Ya."

what do you want them to do, make it unrealistic and have the children doing the laundry?
The stupidest commercial is the coke one where it is like "open happiness"
Is coke trying to tell us by opening a coke, we will achieve happiness? By giving coca cola money we achieve happiness? What a stupid slogan everyone knows happiness is not achieved by possessions.
Also, when mario gets a 1-up and says "just what i needed" is he trying to tell us we need to GET A LIFE?! (because you are playing as mario in the game and he says a life is just what he needed?!
SUBLYMINAL MESSAGING! jkjk that last example is just a joke

I love the commercials where companies are bashing other companies like the roger vs bell commercials xD
You know I always thought that directly mentioning a competitor in your commercial was not allowed :S

Whitedragon: Ewww, the Mac vs. PC ones drive me nuts. :P It was funny at first but after seeing so many of them it's started to really irritate me.

OMG I'm Blonde too!  Just ignore the stereotypes, people are just jealous! :P
OMG! I love the Rogers commercials with the two guys where the other guy's phone always cuts out and he gets mad because the Rogers dude always gets whatever he was after. At first they were kinda lame, but the last one at the sports game is so FUNNY.
Rogers Guy -All Happy Recognizes the other Guy-: "Hey!"
-Angry guy appears on the big screen and tries to smile-
And DQ commercials are AWESOME! especially the one where the kids throws the basket ball into his dad's face!

Why wouldn't it be allowed? You obviously can't slander them like "This is Starbucks here to tell you that Tim Hortons LIKES TO PUNCH CATS RIGHT IN THE FACE! Then they use them to make their coffee! D:". But if they have factual statistics are just want to poke fun at the competitor, that's allowed.

You obviously don't understand marketing.
If a commercial can get you to think enough about their product to actually post about it, it's working. You are thinking and spreading the word of their product, meaning more people will want it.
Kinder bars are amazing, and you posting about them has made me crave them. Good job.
