there are different types of decks such as burn, control, etc. they mean different things.
Burn for instants means that your deck can deal life point dammage without having to attack.
if you want to know more you should ask T_MASTER he knows alot about that

Aggro: Decks that uses monsters with very high ATK to smash opponent's monsters. Sometimes your LP aren't important as long as you have a crazy attack force on your side of the field.
Control deck: A deck that controls one or more aspects of the field.
eg on Zaloog (one of my faves) is good for hand control cause you can discard your opponent's hand.
Spirit Reaper: Good for field and hand control cause you can protect yourself from your opponent's attacks and discard cards from your opponent's hand.

DarthPhoenix, you have Aggro confused with Beatdown. Aggro utilizes strategy and resource management while Beatdown pretty much does what you said. Besides, I think ss1_vegeta was just asking what a decktype is, and not what a specific one does.
The term "decktype" is just a word used to classify whatever strategy you're using in your deck. Does that answer your question ss1_vegeta?
