the only "old" stuff i listen to is in the 80's and theres only one band from that decade and thats bon jovi. their older stuff is better, now after their "lost highway" ablum came out, its certain they will never be rockers again upset

"farewell to mediocrity"- Bon Jovi [Lost Highway]

Aah, old music...

Some of these artists, I've only heard one or two songs, but they're still good. Dates taken from Wikipedia.

40s:
The Chordettes

50s:
The Supremes

60s:
Unit Four plus Two
Rush*

70s:
The Cure *

80s:
They Might Be Giants *
Bon Jovi *

* means they're still making music, so they're not really /old/ =)

Ahaha Everything in this list is really obscure. x_x

Aerosmith
Judas Priest
Bon Jovi (also very old. I like their old music much more than their new though. They went country!wink
AC DC

And yes, Michael Jackson is awsome! Thriller! Billie Jean! Yaaay!

I love 80's music! My parents have been showing me stuff from the 80's, 70's, and other things they've listened to back then, and I like them. By now, I've heard a lot from the 1960's to the 1990's and I think there are too many greats to choose from, especially from the 80's.
I like Glass Tiger, Michael Jackson (yep, his old stuff are good), Cindy Lauper, The Carpenters, The Corrs, etc.

Punk is dead.
But you can still listen to old
stuff like the Ramones, The Clash,
and the Forgotten Rebels to remember
and honor what we've lost...

There is... a house... in New Orleans.... they call the Rising Sun!

Great 60's song. Except Eric (something. Well, lead singer of the Animals anyway) just ruins the song when he sings it live.

STEPHIE, NO! House of the Rising song is a different song entirely. Billy Joe just sings the first verse in the song "The Saints Are Coming" with U2.

House of the Rising Sun was originally a folk song. It was made popular by the Animals in the sixties when they did their version of it. Since then, endless covers ensued.

Sailormoon303-Oh grow up. I'd rather be open
minded to all sorts of different music then be so obsessed
with one genre of poppy bubble gum crap.

Candi-Yay! Cyndi Lauper rocks! I love 'Money Changes
Everything'
