Dattebayo is really hard to translate the way Naruto uses it ~ it doesn't have a definable translation =/ because in Japanese it's similar to how we abuse the word "Like" in sentances -- "That was, like, totally cool" and so on. It doesn't need to be used and is really really slang. No one translates Dattebayo in the subs because it'd sound awful in English.

The "Believe it!" sounds veeeeery annoying after a while. It would be better if he just said "Dattebayo!" "Believe it!" begins to sound like a broken record after awhile, believe it!

It's his line. Just like Chichiri in Fushigi Yuugi.
His line is "No Da!" then he turns chibi. Only
Naruto is annoying in English so why bother
watching it? Japanese is way better, trust me!
