Ok everyone, I think we should really use this topic cuz one of the coolest psp features are in fact its ability to go online and search websites! Here we should talk about and help one another and be psp owners united.

My first question is regarding this one message I'm getting saying "Low memory". I really dont know whats wrong cuz I have a brand new memory card and my psp is charged to full so why does this message constantly appear?

I have a Sandisk 2.0 Gb so actual memory shouldn't be a problem.

My guess is that either the connection is getting weak so it simply stops loading the page or there is too many complex things on the browser so it may have just shut down cuz it doesn't wanna make the psp go nuts

And anyone can ask questions too

Hey Robeyblade!

So, what do you think of the Internet on the PSP? Is it an easy feature too use? Just wondering...

With all due respect, jchansfan

Ya jchansfan, its very easy to use. Just scan as you walk down the street and you'll pick up so many connections. I walked into a neighbourhood full of townhouses just to see how many connections i would get for fun and when i scanned, I got 8! And when you're on the internet, its just great. A little slower than what you use on your computer of course but it's remarkable by how they can store everything like that onto one little psp. Its just mind blowing.

And lucky for me, theres a wireless router right in one of my school classes so I can almost always get on the internet with a 100% connection! ha ha ha smile

its free if you can get a signal. just go to the settings menu, scroll to the bottom of the list, the last one is network options, select it. hit infastructure mode to scan for wireless internet in the area. make a connection, name it if you want and then scan. you'll probably get something! if not move around and try again. then select it and use very basic so use no security, easy adress settings etc. then test it. if it works, go to the main icons and click internet browser and there you are! its free if you can get a signal. just go to the settings menu, scroll to the bottom of the list, the last one is network options, select it. hit infastructure mode to scan for wireless internet in the area. make a connection, name it if you want and then scan. you'll probably get something! if not move around and try again. then select it and use very basic so use no security, easy adress settings etc. then test it. if it works, go to the main icons and click internet browser and there you are!

'kay been gone for a while. Long story short, computer got busted and I'm borrowing a laptop right now. I'll be in every now and again though, until I fix my comp...I think my motherboard burned out...o_O
ANYWAY, Sillysoul, if you're really interested in the PSP, I suggest that you'll have to be a "mini-console" fan. By that I mean, enjoying similar games that are on the PS2, not "new and innovative" that you will most likely have an easier time finding on the DS.
Some great games to look out for right now are: GTA: VCS or LCS, Killzone Liberation, Daxter, Lumines, Metal Gear Ac!d (1 or 2), Tekken: Dark Ressurection, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Locoroco, any Megaman game, Monster Hunter (longest game I'm playing on a portable. 100+ hours in already), Wipeout Pure, Socom FTB, Blade Dancer, Breath of Fire III (import), Tales of Eternia (import), Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth etc, etc.
Keep in mind that other great games are coming our way: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (DEC), Jeanne D'arc, Crisis Core: FFVII, Ridge Racer 2, Elder Scrolls: Travels, Silent Hill: Origins, just to name a few. For some of the games above, they're much better if you're an online person (which is free)
I'll continue on my next post.

For media, there's quite a bit of an array of them. There are movie UMDs, music UMDs and even digital graphic novels. A cheaper way to watch media is simply to rip them from your DVDs (or other "media outlets" *cough*) onto your flash card.
Internet on the PSP does have some lag at times, and is a little difficult to type without a keyboard. Other than that, it works just fine.
Additionally, there are alot of periphal or connectivity features to look forward to as well. There will be the eyetoy/camera, GPS, Voice over IP etc. ANd with the PS3, you can download the PS1 emulator (I believe that they'll create another network for those without the PS3), it can be used as a rear view mirror in racing games and also a remote of some kind (not sure if this is true or not. I heard this somewhere).
Finally, if you use homebrew, you can use windows XP on it, use it as a remote control for your television etc.
So, there you go. Do a little more research and don't go fully on my word alone. Personally, I think that it's a great handheld to own.
