You wanna bet? Nature controls us, and kills us. Without it, we wouldn't be here right now, would we? Asteroid/comet/ celestial body collisions can destroy us. Tsunami's, hurricanes, volcanoes, avalanches, disease, tornadoes, ect. THAT controls us.
Example: Swine Influenza, that's been killing people, that's been controling people, freaking them out, taking precautions, ect. California wildfires, too. Whatever the Earth does, we react upon.

FYI: last I heard, swine flu only killed ten people. (9 in mexico) I'm not THAT worried. I will when and if it gets worse.

so science say but let me tell you this in my religion (catholic) we belive that go created the world so he would be the only one to end it but yet god is not going to end it because he is a nice guy and even if the world "ends" atlest we lived a good life and the "end of the world thing" is just a theorie just like the said it was gonna end in 2000 and is the world gone(look around) i still se it but the point is scientist are filling peoples heads with fear just to make them peek up garbage and recycle for once and yes global warming is starting to kick in but thats cosd by pollution and we can possibly fix that buy picking up so ya ^.^

Do you guys have any comprehension of the destructive power around you? Hurricane Andrew, Hurricane Katrina, Indian Ocean Tsunami, HIV/AIDS, The Flu, Krakatoa Volcano Eruption, Drought, Wildfires, Hurricanes, Tornaodes, Tsunami's, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Lanslides/Mudslides, Snow storms, disease/virus, etc. Don't underestimate what these disasters can do.

Oh, the Y2K phenomenon of the year 2000 had no proof to back up it's basis on all electricity failing the planet. Unless an actual power outage occurs, i won't worry about the "humans with no electricity crisis".

Err..isn't consuming the cause of some polution?
I don't believe the world will end in 2012.
But I do believe that its possiblethat It will end before I'm 50.
We've already used up over 75% of the worlds resources, or so I've heard from very official sources, and I'm not even going to start on how few years that took us.
People think that just because they throw 1 or 2 pop cans on the ground a week, or buy cars that give off huge exhausts, nothing will happen.
What if over 6 billion people do that every day?
They think that just because there is poverty, illnesses, hurricanes and tsunamis somewhere on the other side of the earth, nothing bad can happen. Because it hasn't happened to them.
Nobody notices whats happening. *sigh*
Soooo, I'm not saying that the world will end in 2012.
But its possible that it will end soon. -_-
