With that setup, I would ditch the 2x Sakuretsu Armors, and put in more monster/spell cards that will help the deck keep pressure on your opponent. The other trap route is to go monster removal and perhaps some anti-meta. These are cards such as Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute (mass monster removal), Ring of Destruction (monster removal and burn dmg), Call of the Haunted (monster recursion), Pulling the Rug (monster removal, negate monster's effect), Trap Dustshoot (see opponent's hand, return 1 monster from their hand to their deck) and Mind Crush (great combo with Trap Dustshoot or Confiscation or having general knowledge of what cards are in your opponent's hand, declare a card name and your opponent discards all copies of that card to the Graveyard), etc.

While Sakuretsu Armor is good, most decks play effect monsters, so I would probably put Sakuretsu Armor in the Side Deck. Put Sakuretsu Armor in the deck against decks such as Skill Drain, or those in general that play mostly monsters who's effects aren't chained to by Pulling the Rug.

Now for the traps. While Magic Cylinder is pretty deserving of it's restricted to 1 limitation, it isn't good enough for an aggro monster deck like this. Remember that it only negates the monster's attack and returns the dmg back to their Life Points. If your opponent is still alive, they can still attack again next turn with that same monster. Magic Cylinder is more suited for burn decks, as it gives them another card to inflict effect dmg with.

Ceasefire is another example of a card that's more suited for burn decks. Jar of Greed, you're pretty much giving up 1 card to draw 1 card. You're better off using the drawing effects of cards such as Cyber Phoenix, Card Trooper, Pot of Avarice, or even Morphing Jar. Now for traps, you'll want to go 1 of 2 routes. For pure aggro where you don't want to worry about your opponent's traps, I suggest 1 Mirror Force (mass monster removal) and 3x Royal Decrees (negate traps).

Creature Swap would be best in a deck that has lots of monsters who's effects are activated when destroyed in battle, which this deck lacks. For spell cards, I would suggest adding in Heavy Storm (mass spell/trap removal), Smashing Ground (monster removal), Nobleman of Crossout (facedown monster removal), Snatch Steal (take an opponent's monster), etc.

Some other tech cards you can try are Book of Moon (use offensively or defensively), Confiscation (look at opponent's hand, send 1 card to the Graveyard), Pot of Avarice (bring 5 monsters from Graveyard back into the deck, draw 2 cards), and Shrink or Rush Recklessly (surprise tactic for spell form monster removal).

Now on to the spell lineup. First of all, Limiter Removal is restricted to 1 per deck. So you can't have 2 there. Also Miracle Fusion is useless, as it only works on Elemental Hero Fusion monsters. Photon Generator Unit and Attack Reflector Unit as said before are very bad cards, as they can be bad draws when you don't have 1-2 Cyber Dragons on the field. Plus it isn't worth the effort to use up 2-3 cards to bring out mediocre monsters that will be easily destroyed by your opponent's monster removal cards.

Polymerization is also bad, as you're using up 3-4 or more cards from your hand/field to Special Summon either Cyber Twin, Cyber End or Chimeratech Overdragon. You're better off using the cards Future Fusion and Overload Fusion. Power Bond is ok, but make sure you're dealing the winning blow with the monster. If your opponent stops your attack with a card like Threatening Roar, Waboku, etc, that dmg you take equal to your fusion monster's original Atk will hurt alot.

If that's the card you meant, well it's a spell card, not a monster, and it's restricted to 1. For good monsters for a Cyber Dragon deck, I would suggest cards such as Jinzo (negate traps), Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive (card draw), more Cyber Phoenix (protect machines from monster/spell/trap targeting effect cards, and card draw), Card Trooper (boost to 1900 Atk, mills cards from deck to the Graveyard, and card draw), The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion (can be used with Cyber Dragon to Special Summon Cyber Twin Dragon), Drillroid (destroy Def position monsters), etc.

Other viable choices are cards such as Neo-Spacian Grand Mole and Exiled Force for monster removal (especially on facedowns), and Banisher of the Radiance (to stop most decks these days that involve monsters and the Graveyard).

Cyber Barrier Dragon is another nomi monster that can only be Special Summoned by tributing a Cyber Dragon with the Attack Reflector Unit trap card. While 2800 Def is alot, remember that it must be in Atk position to negate the first attack of your opponent's monster. Also whoever is attacking first, you have no choice but to negate that first attack. Alot of decks have the abilitiy to Special Summon more than 1 monster in 1 turn to the field.

So they can choose to attack first with a weak monster (getting negated by Cyber Barrier's effect), then attack with a strong monster to kill it. Plus it is still weak to monster removal cards such as Smashing Ground. Cyber Kirin isn't good either, as it's almost a field version of Kuriboh. It's different in that it turns effect dmg to 0, and must be tributed from your field for the effect. Kuriboh, while turning battle dmg on your Life Points to 0, has the added element of surprise by being tributed from your hand to the Graveyard for it's effect.

Also most decks these days don't play alot of effect dmg cards besides Ring of Destruction. Unless your opponent is playing something like Chain Strike Burn or Volcanic Burn decks, Cyber Kirin will be a very useless card. You're probably better off with cards like Jinzo, Royal Decree, Twister, Heavy Storm etc that can destroy or negate most of the spell/trap burn cards being used. I typed up Overload in the Netrep search, and the only thing I found was Overload Fusion.

I suppose a Zane character deck is only for fun and casual play. Although if you want to make it viable for tournament play, there are some problems with the deck. First, the Cyberdark monsters only work best if you have lvl 3 or lower dragons in the deck. When a Cyberdark monster is Normal Summoned to the field, you equip it with a lvl 3 or lower dragon from the Graveyard, and it's Atk is boosted by that dragon's Atk.

Your fusion monsters, Cyber Twin, Cyber End, and Chimeratech, I assume they're suppose to be in your fusion monster list, as they don't really count towards the 24 monster count of the deck. Cyber Barrier Dragon and Cyber Laser Dragon are actually bad cards to use. Cyber Laser Dragon is a nomi monster that can only be Special Summoned by having 2 Cyber Dragons on the field and the Photon Generator Unit spell card.

That spell card is useless if you don't have 2 Cyber Dragons on the field. Cyber Laser Dragon only has 2400 Atk (which suicides with Monarchs and Jinzo). It can't be revived once it's in the Graveyard through Premature Burial, and is easily destroyed by monster removal. I suppose you could somehow get 2 Cyber Dragons on the field again and play another Photon Generator Unit to revive Cyber Laser Dragon, but I don't see anyone in their right mind willing to do that.

And there are other people here that are willing to help give tips and advice on people's decks, like Hakudoshi and McLuffy. Remember that for things I suggest, are only suggestions.

They don't have to be followed card for card, but it gives you a general idea what to aim for. Like I say you need more monster removal and get Smashing Ground, but if you can't afford 1 or get 1, there is the lesser alternative Fissure. Or if you don't have Magic Drain for spell negation, there's Magic Jammer, Solemn Judgment, Spell Shield Type-8, etc. But remember as more and more cards come out, some of the old ones get outdated by the new stuff, so try to keep the cards in your deck up to date.

The list includes Snatch Steal, Brain Control, Enemy Controller, Creature Swap (with Creature Swap, you could hand over something weak like Masked Dragon, use their strong monster to destroy it in battle and take advantage of Masked Dragon's effect), or Soul Exchange. Last, if you decide to use King Dragun, I suggest using that with Red-Eyes or Armed LV 7 and Metamorphosis.

There's also the Polymerization + King of the Swamp/Divine Dragon Ragnarok + Lord of D., but remember that depletes 3 cards from your hand/field. You generally want to stay away from 3+ card combos unless it involves something like, "you win in this turn," or "deal massive dmg to your opponent." Like back in the day before Cyber Stein was banned, it would go Cyber Stein + Cyber End Dragon + Megamorph.

The E-Hero Miracle build I posted had it's own 3.5 card combo of either instant win or massive dmg. Cyber Dragon + The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion + Miracle Fusion (Sparkman, Wildheart or Clayman in the Graveyard). The .5 is that requiring 1 of those 3 E-Heroes in the Graveyard, but in playtesting, I probably pulled off the combo around 7-8 times out of every 10 duels, which is pretty often.

While it may not be quickplay, Reload gives up your entire hand to draw the same amount of cards you had. Where as with Magical Mallet, you get to pick and choose which cards to keep in hand and which to send back to your deck and pick up the same amount of cards you sent back. There's also Card Trader, a continuous spell card which once per Standby Phase, you shuffle 1 card from your hand into the deck, then draw 1 card.

Stamping Destruction is an excellent example of theme support, in that it gives dragons a way to get rid of spell/traps and inflict extra dmg to your opponent. However it requires a dragon on the field. I would suggest cutting 1 Stamping Destruction for a Mystical Space Typhoon, as it's a quickplay and more versatile in that it doesn't need a dragon on the field to activate. Unity I don't see being useful either, as your dragons should be mostly aggressive and on the offensive, not hiding around in def position.

As said before, using Lord of D. and Flute combo will deplete your hand, so I suggest adding in Pot of Avarice. This will put 5 monsters from your Graveyard back into the deck, shuffle it then draw 2 cards. If you decide to go Five-Headed Dragon with Dragon's Mirror though, then don't use Pot of Avarice cause Dragon's Mirror removes dragons from play. Also since alot of dragons are high lvl and require tributes, you should add in spell cards that take your opponent's monster so you can use them as tributes.

Now for your spell cards. Pot of Greed, Monster Reborn and Dark Hole are all obviously taken out cause they're banned. Tribute to the Doomed as said before is a bad chance, since you're giving up 2 cards to destroy 1 monster, which depletes your hand and is bad for a Dragon Deck. If you need 1 for 1 monster removal, use Smashing Ground, or Fissure as the cheaper alternative.

Eternal Rest is sorta useless, as most top tier decks run very few equip cards (usually only Snatch Steal and Premature Burial), and you'll be hurting yourself due to playing Axe of Despairs. While equip cards can make your monsters powerful, you're better off going with monster removal. Let's say you have Luster Dragon on the field, equipped with Axe of Despair so it has 2900 Atk. Your opponent plays Smashing Ground, destroying your monster and it's equipped card, then attacks you directly with a monster.

Your opponent gave up 1 card (Smashing Ground) to destroy your 2 cards (Luster Dragon + Axe of Despair). The other alternate way, is playing Mystical Space Typhoon/Heavy Storm on your Axe, then Summoning something like Cyber Dragon to take out Luster Dragon. I would suggest replacing Axe of Despairs with cards such as Smashing Ground or Shrink (quickplay that reduces your opponent monster's Atk by half). Magical Mallet I see as being better than Reload.

Torrential Tribute is like a trap version of Dark Hole that activates when a monster is summoned. Embodiment of Apophis I see as being used as tribute for dragons, but remember it's a trap which makes it useless against Jinzo and it can be destroyed by spell/trap removal as well. Backup Soldier I assume is for getting back monsters with 1500 Atk or less from the Graveyard to your hand, which I generally see in Exodia decks.

Another alternative to Backup Soldier is Pot of Avarice, where you return 5 monsters from the Graveyard to your deck, and draw 2 cards. Dragon's Rage is decent, giving your dragons trample ability. However with monster removal, you should be attacking your opponent directly most of the time.

Shadow Spell only stops your opponent monster's attack and reduces them by 700 points. It's better to go with monster removal, such as Sakuretsu Armor which can outright destroy their monster. The Dragon's Bead is useless since you have Lord of D., and the options with King Dragun or Royal Decree. It's card discard cost will hurt your hand as Dragon Decks depletes cards from the hand quickly. Enchanted Javelin is useless, as there is no change in the situation.

Opponent attacks with Blue-Eyes, you activate Javelin, you lose 3000 Life Points, then gain 3000 right back. Next opponent's turn, he attacks you again with Blue-Eyes. Again, cards such as Sakuretsu Armor and Mirror Force are better choices as they'll get rid of your opponent's monster. Trap Hole only works against monsters that Normal or Flip Summoned, while Bottomless can be used against those as well as Special Summons.

For your traps, you can go 1 of 2 routes. One way is to use 3x Royal Decree and a copy of Mirror Force. This will negate your opponent from using traps, thus protecting your dragons, and Mirror Force gives you a mass monster removal in trap form. The other way, is to use several monster removal trap cards, revival, etc. These are cards such as Call of the Haunted, Ring of Destruction, Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, Sakuretsu Armor, Pulling the Rug, Trap Dustshoot, Mind Crush, etc.

For some of the cards you might not be familiar with, Pulling the Rug negates the effect of and destroys monsters such as Monarchs, Gadgets, Elemental Hero Stratos, etc. Trap Dustshoot is like a trap version of The Forceful Sentry, which is banned, and allows you to look at your opponent's hand and their options. Being able to look at their hand combines well with Mind Crush, where you designate a card and if it's in their hand, all copies of that card are discarded to the Graveyard.

For the traps you used, Raigeki Break, Cemetery Bomb, Shadow Spell, The Dragon's Bead, Enchanted Javelin, and Trap Hole. Raigeki Break as said before, discards a card from your hand just to destroy 1 card, which is bad in a Dragon deck. Cemetery Bomb inflicting 100 dmg per card in opponent's Graveyard isn't gonna do much in the early game, and at most, will do maybe 3000 dmg late game since almost everyone plays with 40 card decks. If you really want burn dmg, go with cards like Magic Cylinder or Ceasefire instead.

If you want alternatives to your high lvl dragons, there's Kaiser Glider (1 tribute, 2400 that can attack Monarchs/Jinzo and survive, and bounces a monster back to the hand when destroyed), Horus LV6 and LV8 (unaffected by or negate opponent's spell cards), and Jinzo (trap negator).

Yeah, Lord of D. can sorta do what Horus and Jinzo do, but remember it's only for targetting spell/trap cards.
For your monsters, you'll want to stick to mostly useful dragons and non-dragons that support them. Curse of Dragon is a 5 star 2000 Atk non-effect dragon, considered useless in that you need to tribute for it and it can easily be taken out by all the Cyber Dragons being played. Granmarg belongs in a Monarch Deck, and even so, I rarely ever see Monarch Decks play 1. Dark Blade is an 1800 Atk non-effect Warrior that also doesn't belong.

Dragon Decks have Exploder Dragons now for monster removal, as well as the options of using D.D. Warrior Lady, Exiled Force, Neo-Spacian Grand Mole, etc. So Man-Eater Bug would be cut as well. Magician's Valkyria belongs in a Spellcaster Deck so she'll also be cut. Double Coston I see as being used for your only 2 Red-Eyes Black Dragon, but I would cut him since Red-Eyes B. Chick is a better option.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon is strong, but you're missing out on Blue-Eyes support such as Paladin of White Dragon or Kaibaman. Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon is also strong, but remember it's a nomi monster that requires Red-Eyes on the field, which can make it a dead card in hand. If you can, try to specialize on specific high lvl dragons, whether it be Blue-Eyes, Armed Dragon, Red-Eyes, Horus, etc. With too many all over the place, there's the potential for bad draws.

Unfortunately, dragon decks aren't top tier until we get Light and Darkness Dragon from Japan. But if you still want to keep a dragon deck, the only good ones that are out now are Five-Headed Dragon, Cyberdark Dragon, and Horus the Black Flame Dragon Decks. For your deck, there are a couple cards to take out and add in. First drop all the banned cards (Dark Hole, Pot of Greed and Monster Reborn).

Playing this in Traditional Format will get killed against Chaos and Magical Scientist FTK decks. You'll have a better chance playing in the Advanced Format. Next, you're using the Lord of D. + Flute of Summoning combo to bring out your strong dragons. While a decent combo, remember that you're giving up 3-4 cards from your hand. Can be easy to accomplish in the beginning when you have a high hand count, but really difficult at mid-late game when you only have around 0-2 or 3 cards left in your hand.

With that, you'll need ways to replenish your hand, and stay away from -1 cards. Raigeki Break and Tribute to the Doomed are examples of -1s. You're basically giving up 2 cards (Raigeki Break and 1 card discard) just to destroy 1 card on the field. This lowers your hand count and gives you less options for dealing with your opponent's cards. If you need monster removal, it's better to go with Sakuretsu Armor, Smashing Ground and such, as they are 1 for 1 trades against your opponent.

Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell against decks that like to run 3x of key spells, such as DDT and Demise OTK decks.

Nobleman of Crossout against decks that play lots of facedown monsters. Along with Call of the Haunted, it can bring out monsters from the Graveyard such as Monarchs, Stratos, Disk Commander for 2 card draw, etc. Oh and I would love to have Crush Card Virus for this deck. There are several Dark monsters in the deck with less than 1000 Atk that can combo well with Crush Card Virus.

Destiny Hero - Malicious, Destiny Hero - Fear Monger, Destiny Hero - Disk Commander, Spirit Reaper and Sangan. Too bad you have to win a SJC tournament for 1, or buy off Ebay, and I'm not doing that. I'm hoping that they give the same treatment to Crush Card Virus as they did to Shrink. Shrink was the SJC prize for several months before Crush Card Virus became the new prize. After that, they rereleased Shrink in those Strike of Neos special edition gift boxes.

Yeah, there is no Monarch fusion monster out in the Yu-gi-oh OCG or TCG. The Monarchs I chose, here are the reasons. Raiza can send any card back to the top of it's owner's deck. If my opponent has a card like Sangan or Mystic Tomato on the field, there's no way they can get it's effect if I'm not sending it to the Graveyard.

If your opponent has no hand and just that 1 card on the field, you're basically limiting your opponent's options for another turn as he'll be drawing that same useless card. Thestalos discards a card from your opponent's hand, giving him less options to use against you. Mobius destroys up to 2 spell/trap cards, which gives the deck added spell/trap removal. Zaborg destroys a monster on the field when I need it destroyed.

I skipped out Granmarg, as it only destroys facedown cards, and isn't as versatile as Raiza. Cyber Dragon is a strong Special Summoning beatstick, which allows me an extra Normal Summon or I can tribute it for a monarch. Treeborn Frog can be Special Summoned to the field over and over from my Graveyard and used as tribute for a monarch when my spell/trap card zone is empty. Snipe Hunter destroys any card on my opponent's field and sends cards like Disk Commander or Malicious to the Graveyard.

If you notice, I cut out cards like Avian and Burstinatrix, as their Atk are weak and have no effect. Cyber Dragon can be used with Light Hex to make Cyber Twin Dragon. When Light Hex and an E-Hero is in the Graveyard/field, they can be used with Miracle Fusion to make 1 of the E-Hero fusions I listed.

Light Hex can be used as a fusion substitute, but you can't use it for it's don't use Polymerization effect with an E-Hero. While this won't always happen, here's a combo you could do. Let's say your opponent has Jinzo, Gemini Elf, Sangan, and Cyber Dragon on the field. You have Cyber Dragon, The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion, and Miracle Fusion in hand, and Elemental Hero Wildheart in the Graveyard.

You would Special Summon Cyber Dragon, Normal Summon The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion, use Hex's effect and tribute both Hex and Cyber Dragon to Special Summon Cyber Twin Dragon to the field. Then you play Miracle Fusion, removing Light Hex and Wildheart from the Graveyard to Special Summon Elemental Hero Wildedge. On the Battle Phase, Wildedge would attack and destroy each of your opponent's monsters, then Cyber Twin Dragon would attack twice for 2800 each. You used 3 cards, wiped out 4 of your opponent's cards, and gained 2 high Atk monsters on the field.

Yeah, the 200 Atk boost per Beast isn't much with The Big March of Animals. It wouldn't work with Ruby Carbuncle and Emerald Turtle due to them not being Beast Type. Behemoth isn't much either, as it will only last on the field for 1 or so turns with all the monster removal being played.

For tributes, I prefer to use Magna Slash Dragon for his destroy a spell/trap effect, and Gravi Crush Dragon to destroy a monster effect. Since Crystal Beasts become continuous spell cards, they make a great combo with those 2 tribute monsters. Since I have to watch out for my opponent wiping out my front or back row with monster/spell/trap removal in the form of spell cards, Invincil is in to negate my opponent from using spells.

Giant Trunade seems to be a bad idea as well. Crystal Beasts like being in the spell/trap card zone, so you can use a variety of cards with them, such as Rainbow Ruins, Crystal Abundance, Rare Value, Crystal Raigeki, etc. Also there will probably be a variety of Crystal Beast decks, with the top ones being Crystal Beast Beatdown, Crystal Abundance OTK, and Rainbow Ruins Control.

Here's a casual for fun deck that uses equips as it's main strategy, but can lead to bad hands such as having a hand full of equips and no monster on the field. Ben Kei OTK deck. If you're familiar with Armed Samurai - Ben Kei's effect, it's that it gains an additional attack to it's normal attack for each equip card on it. So say you have Ben Kei on the field equipped with United We Stand, Mage Power, and Wicked-Breaking Flamberge - Baou, you'll have a monster that can attack 3 times and negate effect monsters. Considering the nature of the deck, this is more for casual play.
A Crystal Beast Deck could take advantage of Mage Power, due to alot of it's monsters going to the spell/trap card zone. In a majority of decks, the only useful equip cards are Snatch Steal and Premature Burial. Lots of decks these days run monster/spell/trap removal. Powerup equip cards won't help much in this environment.

Let's say I summon Masked Dragon, equip it with Axe of Despair for 2400 Atk. Next turn, my opponent plays Smashing Ground, destroying both my monster and the equip card. He used 1 card to take out my 2, giving him a +1 advantage. There's also the disadvantage that I could draw a powerup equip card, and not have a monster on the field or in hand.

If some people do decide to use powerup equip cards in their deck, it's either United We Stand, Mage Power, Megamorph (Demise OTK), and on a lesser extent, Axe of Despair.
Yeah, I'm already running 3x Masked Dragon in the deck. It's an obvious inclusion, as it's a lvl 3 dragon that synergizes well with Cyberdarks. They also help thin the deck, Special Summoning themselves or other 1500 Atk or less dragons from the deck such as Twin-Headed Behemoth and Exploder Dragon. Going to the Graveyard, they become equip food for Cyberdarks.

Cyberdark Dragon is a lvl 8 machine dark fusion monster that can equip any dragon from the Graveyard. Not including Hound Dragon cause it doesn't come out till Tactical Evolutions, the highest Atk dragon from the deck that Cyberdark Dragon can equip are Twin-Headed Behemoth and Dweller in the Depths. Both have 1500 Atk. If I'm able to get Five-Headed Dragon on the field, and later on it gets sent to my Graveyard, then that would be the highest Atk dragon I could equip to Cyberdark Dragon.

Magical Scientist wouldn't be a good inclusion in the deck as it is banned, due to the Magical Scientist FTK deck. The tournaments I go to run on the Advanced Format, so no banned cards. Also equip cards that power up Atk are pretty much useless unless the deck really needs them. For example, a Gearfried the Swordmaster Deck needs equips due to the card's effect. A Demise OTK Deck needs Megamorph for it's OTK combo. A Six Samurai Deck could take advantage of United We Stand, due to it's ability to swarm the field.

Exploder Dragon has an effect that's somewhat similar to Neo-Spacian Grand Mole, but different in a way.

When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, destroy the monster that destroyed it. While this card is attacking, any Battle Damage either player takes from a battle involving this card becomes 0.

Exploder Dragon is a level 3 1000 Atk dragon. This makes it equip food for Cyberdarks, boosting their Atk to 1800. When it is destroyed in battle, it destroys the monster along with it. When you attack their monster with Exploder Dragon, like Grand Mole, you don't do damage calculation. So say your opponent has Blue-Eyes White Dragon on the field. Summon Exploder Dragon, attack Blue-Eyes, both monsters are destroyed and you take no damage to your Life Points.

And of course, you want Exploder Dragon in the Graveyard so you can equip it to a Cyberdark monster. If you're on the defensive end, just set Exploder Dragon in Defense Position. Your opponent summons a monster, attacks and destroys Exploder Dragon, but their monster gets destroyed as well due to Exploder's effect. And of course, you take no damage to your Life Points due to it being in Def Position.

Of course, watch out for trample monsters such as Enraged Battle Ox that can still do damage while your monster is in defense. And watch out for cards like Mystic Swordsman that outright destroys monsters that are facedown, skipping the damage step, and thus it was never destroyed in battle and doesn't get it's effect.

Remember that Cyberdarks can only equip level 3 or lower dragons from the Graveyard when Normal Summoned to the field. Cyberdarks only have 800 Atk, but they gain the Atk of the dragon they equipped. Equipping Twin-Headed Behemoth for example will boost their Atk from 800 to 2300.

That's good enough to take out monsters such as Cyber Dragon, Stratos, Card Trooper, and other commonly played monsters. Hound Dragon, being 1700 Atk, pushes their Atk boost to 2500. This lets them overpower the commonly played Monarchs and Jinzo and such.
For the CyberDark deck. I like it how you added Sangan to get out the CyberDarks. Though what is the point of CyberDark monsters with the fusion one of them all? So I see you use them as fusion material for the Chimeratech. I think it is essential to add "Machine King". If your big guys like Twin Dragon and JInzo are down, then it's the best time to summon "Machine King". He gains attack points for every machine monster in the graveyard and this deck is filthy rich with them! Machine King is a good idea for backup. I'm not fimiliar with "Exploder Dragon" or "Hound Dragon". Can you tell me about it?

Btw, if you noticed in 1 of the new monsters I listed, the dragon called Dweller in the Depths, happens to be a lvl 3 1500 Atk dragon. For those who are fans of Cyberdark decks, Dweller in the Depths is a great addition, as it can be equipped to any of the Cyberdark monsters and boost their Atk to 2300. The only other 1500 Atk lvl 3 dragon we have in the game is Twin-Headed Behemoth, and that's restricted to 1. Also in the upcoming Tactical Evolutions Set, there's another lvl 3 dragon coming out called Hound Dragon, which has 1700 Atk. Imagine having a lvl 4 2500 Atk monster that can either pierce Defense Position monsters or attack directly. Now a sample Cyberdark Deck.

Monsters:
1. Jinzo
2. Cyber Dragon
3.
Hmm, in Tactical Evolutions Set, which comes out few months after Force of the Breaker Set, is a new monster for Crystal Beasts. Think he would be worth it in a Crystal Beast deck?

TAEV-JP006
Ultimate Gem Lord - Rainbow Dragon
Light/Dragon/10/4000/0
This card cannot be Normal Summon. This card cannot be special summon outside of when you have total of 7 types of [Crystal Beast] card in your field and/or Graveyard. You can activate the following effect(s) outside of the turn this card is special summoned.
- Send all [Crystal Beast] monsters from your field to Graveyard. For each card sent to Graveyard, increase this card's attack strength by 1000. This effect can be activated on opponent's turn.
- Remove all [Crystal Beast] monsters from your Graveyard from the game, send all cards on the field back to respective owner's deck.
Ultra/Ultimate/Holographic Rare

The current highest attackers that Crystal Beasts have are Sapphire Pegasus (1800) and Topaz Tiger (1600, 2000 when attacking a monster). 4000 Atk is alot, and can gain 1000 for each Crystal Beast sent from field to the Graveyard. It can also remove all Crystal Beasts from Graveyard to send all cards on field back to the owner's hands, which can combo with Dimension Fusion/Return from the Different Dimension. However, it requires the deck to play all 7 different Crystal Beasts, including the weaker not so good ones, thus changing most of the cards in the deck. Also Rainbow Dragon can be a dead card in hand during the beginning/middle of the duel when you don't have the required monsters on your field/Graveyard.

Bittu94, unless you like having a shiny deck, holos doesn't always mean best and strongest. Look at cards such as Serpent Night Dragon, Tri-Horned Dragon, Garnecia Elefantis, etc. All are holos, yet crappy cards compared to what's out there. Also Upperdeck rereleases alot of good cards as commons in Structure Decks and such. Mystical Space Typhoon was a holo in Magic Ruler set, now you see commons of it in lots of Structure Decks.

Vampire Lord was a secret rare in Dark Crisis Set, but you can get a common of it in Zombie Madness Structure Deck. If money isn't an issue, I suppose it's alright to have a deck full of shiny holos. But if money is tight, you might want to look at some of the good common cards you can find in various Structure Decks. D.D. Warrior Lady, Exiled Force, Heavy Storm, Pot of Avarice, Premature Burial, etc.

Judging by some of the cards you listed, I guess you have several deck choices to make. Dragons, Sphinx, E-Hero/Neos, I suppose Spellcaster or Earth with the Gemini Elf, or a Pandemonium Archfiend Deck with Mazera Deville. Do you have a particular favorite theme for a deck you want to try to make? We'll help you out on suggestions for what cards to get and where to get them if money budget is an issue.

It won't work with Skyscraper 2 - Hero City from Strike of Neos Set though. Obviously it would be useless in an E-Hero deck that doesn't use Skyscraper, as it automatically gets destroyed when Skyscraper isn't on the field. If you have Skyscraper and Captain Gold on the field, your opponent can just play Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Skyscraper, and Captain Gold is destroyed as well. One card destroys 2. So if you wanna play a Captain Gold/Skyscraper/E-Hero deck, I suggest to also put in cards to protect your Skyscraper and E-Heroes as well. Goblin Attack Force, Giant Orc, Goblin Elite Attack Force, and Indomitable Fighter Lei Lei all have the same drawback.

After attacking, they are changed to defense position at the end of the Battle Phase and you can't change their position till the end of your next turn, except with a card effect.
Yes, I know that Heavy Storm can mess up Crystal Beast decks. However that's 1 card out of 40+ in their deck. That's why I added in some spell negation in my deck such as Solemn Judgment, plus some of the Crystal Beast spell and trap related cards use them while they're in the spell/trap card zone.

When my opponent destroys a Crystal Beast on the field, instead of going to the Graveyard, they become continuous spell cards in my spell/trap card zone. I can then use them with my various Crystal Beast spell/trap support cards, such as Crystal Raigeki to destroy any card on my opponent's field, Rare Value to draw 2 cards, etc. They'll have to waste both monster removal and spell/trap removal cards just to get rid of them.

I might consider changing some cards, such as putting in Sky Scourge Invincil for the spell negation when you tribute a Light/Fairy monster for it.
Threatening Roar is somewhat similar to Waboku. It stops my opponent from attacking for the turn and is chainable, which is sorta like Waboku's don't take Battle Damage and your monsters can't be destroyed in battle during this turn. Preventing my opponent from attacking me helps buy me more time to draw into what I need. The only good field spell that boosts Dark monsters is Mystic Plasma Zone, but I wouldn't really use it in this deck. The Atk boost isn't all that important, as 500 Atk is little.

In this metagame, it's all about monster removal, such as Smashing Ground, Mirror Force, Exiled Force, etc. Atk boosts mean little when there are lots of cards that can just wipe out a monster. Plus it would be powering up alot of the Dark monsters on my opponent's field that sees alot of play. Destiny Heroes, Jinzo, Dark Magician of Chaos, Mystic Tomato, Demise, etc. Also there's the spell/trap removal that alot of people play in their decks that can easily get rid of it.

Usually the only equip spell cards added in most decks are Premature Burial and Snatch Steal. Only if a deck benefits with more equip spell cards, such as Megamorph in Demise OTK, or United We Stand and Mage Power and Axe of Despair in a Ben-Kei OTK deck, are they added in. Swords of Revealing Light and Concealing Light also fall into this, that when destroyed by S/T removal that their stall effect is gone. Also flip effect monsters that see play in some decks, such as Gravekeeper's Spy, Morphing Jar, Night Assailant, etc will get to use or reuse their flip effects when the 2 Swords cards are activated.

Also Snatch Steal can take my opponent's monster to use as tribute, and Magical Stone Excavation or Dark Magician of Chaos can fetch Snatch Steal or other useful spell cards in the Graveyard. Keeping 1 revival in Premature Burial is ok as there are a few non Dark monsters that would be in the Graveyard.
A lotta stuff....okay I like the Gem Beasts though the big weakness to them is if your opponent activates "Heavy Storm". Then all the Gem Beasts are sent to the graveyard. Though every deck has a card removal, right? So they will be sent to the graveyard. But still they make excellent combos, I think a Gem Beast Deck can go nicely with Union Deck.

CyberJar's banned? That's too bad....never heard about that. Then I would ask you to add Sinister Serpent - about 3 of them. They have REALLY good abilities. To have combos with them add "Call Of The Haunted", "Lightning Vortex", "Waboku", any field spell that powers DARK type, "Swords Of Concealing Dark" and "Swords Of Revealing Light". Sinister Serpent is used to frustrate the opponent. So activating the 2 "Sword" cards can really make your opponent angry because they can't attack weak monsters like Sinister Serpent. I play Destiny Draw, pitch Malicious to the Graveyard from my hand, and draw 2 cards. Then I attack my opponent with Strike Ninja, he activates Sakuretsu Armor to get rid of my Strike Ninja.

I chain and remove Malicious and the Dark monster to remove my Strike Ninja from the field for the turn, thus saving it and Sakuretsu fizzles out and goes to the Graveyard.
Cyber Jar won't work since it's banned, and I don't like Different Dimension Dragon since it requires a tribute for it's small 1200 Atk (alot of decks use cards between 1300-1800 Atk, such as Gadgets, Dekoichi, Legendary Jujitsu Master, Diamond Dude, Neo Bug, Six Samurai - Zanji, etc), and it's Light, which doesn't synergize well with Strike Ninja. If I have most of my monsters removed from the game, and play Return from the Different Dimension to Special Summon 5 of them, here's a possible dreadful setup for my opponent.

Bring back Jinzo (2400 Atk, negate traps) + Dark Magician of Chaos (2800 Atk, get back a useful spell card) + Blowback Dragon (2300 Atk, flip a coin and if lucky, destroy a card on my opponent's field) + Dark Ruler Ha Des (2450 Atk, negate the effect of a monster it destroys) + Destiny Hero - Dasher (2100 Atk).
For the Strike Ninja/Destiny Hero hybrid deck. As you know, all the D-Heroes are Dark, so they work synergetically with Strike Ninja. The only non Darks in the deck are Elemental Hero Stratos and Exiled Force. Stratos is for searching out my other D-Heroes, and for wiping out my opponent's spell/trap cards when I bring it to the field along with my D-Heroes with Dimension Fusion/Return from the Different Dimension.

Exiled Force is for monster removal, although I suppose I could do the same thing with either Neo-Spacian Grand Mole or D.D. Warrior Lady. However I don't wanna provide my opponent a monster to Special Summon when I use Dimension Fusion. D.D. Survivor only works in Macro Cosmos decks, as it requires to be face-up on my field when it is removed from play to get Special Summoned to the field at the End Phase of the turn. Strike Ninja and Malicious's effect help fuel monsters to my remove from game pile, then I use Dimension Fusion/Return from the Different Dimension to Special Summon my strong monsters and swing for game.

For spell/trap removal, I already have Jinzo (negate traps), Blowback Dragon (destroy any card on my opponent's field), Dark Magician of Chaos (get back a spell card), Heavy Storm, Giant Trunade, and Mystical Space Typhoon. The Mystic Tomatos are in to Special Summon Malicious, Diamond Dude, Don Zaloog, Spirit Reaper, D.D. Scout Plane, and Sangan to the field if I need them right away. Plus it's Dark which makes it Strike Ninja food. Card Destruction is already listed in my deck.

Yeah, some people are trying to go for the combo OTK type decks. Diamond Dude Turbo, Demise OTK, and Bazooper. For Metamorphosis, I use it on either Doom Dozer or Demise, King of Armageddon. Both are level 8 monsters. Cyber Twin Dragon can be brought out by Metamorphosis, and is a level 8 monster. When you use Demise's blow up the field effect, you pay 2000 Life Points, and will most likely have less Life Points than your opponent. Thus Megamorph will double your monster's Atk. Here's an official ruling on Cyber Twin Dragon.

Rulings
You can Special Summon "Cyber Twin Dragon" with "Cyber-Stein" or "Metamorphosis".

Monarchs are still the most popular. Demise OTK is still a viable deck, has made it into top 8 in SJC, and doesn't require as much expensive cards as Bazooper and DDT decks. A flaw in Demise OTK is if you don't get your combo pieces fast enough, or your opponent sidedecks before match 2 and uses cards that can disrupt your combo, your deck is left very vulnerable. An example is Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell, which if used against Advanced Ritual Art, the opponent can't use any of them for the rest of the duel.

Oh and here's another deck to check out. It's been showing up in Shonen Jump tournaments ever since the new Strike of Neos Set came out. For those people who like playing ritual monster decks, this is 1 to try out. It's a combo heavy deck, designed to go for the OTK. Play Advanced Ritual Art, send 2x Neo Bug/Insect Knight to the Graveyard, Special Summon Demise, pay 2000 Life Points to blow up the field except for himself. Then remove Neo Bug/Insect Knight to Special Summon Doom Dozer to the field, then you can either play Megamorph on it to double it's Atk to 5600, or play Metamorphosis on Demise or Doom Dozer to bring out Cyber Twin Dragon and equip Megamorph on that. Imagine a 5600 Atk monster that attacks twice.

Demise Doom Dozer OTK Advanced Format

Monsters:
1. Demise, King of Armageddon
2. Demise, King of Armageddon
3.
Well I don't have a Sitekick on this site, and don't really feel making 1. So sorry, I don't have a chip to give you. But I don't mind helping new players to Yu-gi-oh, fixing up decks to make them competitive if they plan to go to any tournaments, etc. I just browse through these different topics and look at which ones I can help out in. I generally try to stay away from Traditional Decks, as I prefer the Advanced Format, although if I see mistakes in it, like running 3x of a banned or restricted to 1 card, I'll point it out.

Noname12, for your combo, there's another trap card that does a much better job than Soul Resurrection. It's Call of the Haunted, which brings the monster back from the Graveyard in Atk Position (taking advantage of Neos 2500 Atk value), and it's restricted to 1. For your turn, you could also use Premature Burial, restricted to 1, an equip spell card that brings a monster back to the Graveyard in Atk Position. Then you can Normal Summon a Neo-Spacian and fuse them together.

Another card that could work is Birthright, which is like Call of the Haunted, but for normal monsters only, and is unrestricted. Great in a mostly normal monster deck, but I wouldn't recommend it for Neos, as the Neo-Spacians and most other monsters besides Neos that you use in the deck will have effects. The best application I can see with Birthright in an E-Hero deck is a Skyscraper Beatdown running Sparkmans, Burstinatrixes, Avians, and Neos as the heavy hitter, with a few effect monsters.

Konami and Upperdeck finally brought in the Ban List, which banned alot of powerful cards, and forced people to either come up with new deck ideas or other cards to replace them. Before the Ban List, almost every deck ran a majority of the same powerful cards, thus being labelled staples. Every deck you see in a top 8 listing at World Championships, over 50% of that deck would be the same cards in all 8 decks.

The ban list has gone through several revisions every 6 months or so, adding or taking out cards from the ban list, although some will always stay there. With each list, different decks have come out to shine on top, some lose power at the next ban list. Anyways, here is a list of different types of decks you can make in Yu-gi-oh. Some are pure themes, some are hybrid which use 2 themes that mix well together, etc. Alot of the top tier decks can be expensive, especially if you want to be competitive and make a really good deck.

Unless you have rich parents willing to buy you cards off Ebay, or friends who have these cards that are willing to give or trade them to you, or you have extreme luck with getting holo cards from packs, I would stay away from trying to build these decks. Other decks may have a couple super rare cards that are hard or expensive to get, but it still can be viable to make them. If there's any you would like to make, I can give you a deck sample and where to get the cards at the cheapest way you can.

Now it's only been over a month since the Mar. 1st Forbidden List was implemented, so not alot is known on what the top deck is. There are several top tier decks that have managed to make it in top 8 at Shonen Jump Championship tournaments, which is a huge tournament hosting hundreds of players. Due to the competition, being able to make it into the final top 8 means you are a really good duelist, and know how to make a competitive deck.

It's also a really good time to be joining Yu-gi-oh at this time, as there are a variety of decks that can potentially win at major tournaments such as nationals, regionals, and SJC. Back in the old days, like in the first 2 years when the Yu-gi-oh card game first came out in North America, almost everyone played beatdown. Beatdown is basically packing your deck with 1800-1900 Atk monsters, 1-2 tribute monsters such as Jinzo and Summoned Skull, and spell cards and trap cards such as Raigeki, Harpie's Feather Duster, Mirror Force, Imperial Order, etc.

Then Legacy of Darkness Set came out, introducing Yata-Garasu, Marauding Captain, Exiled Force and Spear Dragon, and Pharaonic Guardian Set brought in Don Zaloog. Most people would play either beatdown or hand control decks, using Yata-Garasu to lock their opponent. A year later, Invasion of Chaos Set came out, introducing Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End, and Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning. Most people would play Chaos decks, running these 2 monsters and a bunch of strong Light and Dark element monsters. There was little deck variety back in the old days.

So you can special summon him easily from the graveyard with Soul resurrection.
It is only in the first turn that the first turn player cannot attack. Now for finishing the duel, whoever reaches 0 Life Points first is declared the loser. If both players go down to 0 Life Points at the same time, it results in a draw. If a player at the start of their turn enters the Draw Phase and has no more cards to draw, that player is the loser, and lost by decking out. If you feel you're gonna lose, you can also choose to concede the duel and admit defeat to your opponent.

Getting all 5 pieces of Exodia in your hand also counts as winning the match, or all 5 pieces of Destiny Board on the field. Some cards have special effects that allows them to win the duel. For example, Final Countdown, a spell card, after activation, after 20 turns has passed, you automatically win the duel. Last Turn is a trap card, where you activate in your opponent's turn when you have 1000 or less Life Points.

You pick 1 of your monsters on the field, and send all other cards on the field and owner's hands to their respective Graveyards, then your opponent gets to Special Summon a monster from their deck to the field and attacks your selected monster. The monster that remains standing is declared the winner. Victory Dragon is Normal Summoned only by tributing 3 dragons on the field, and when it attacks your opponent directly and deals the winning blow, you automatically win the match. That means if you pull off Victory Dragon's effect in the first duel of a best 2 out of 3 match, you automatically win the 2 duels.

Now for when Atk is less than Def. Example, we'll use Sangan attacking into a facedown Gravekeeper's Spy, which the player wouldn't know that's the monster his opponent set since it is facedown. Sangan has 1000 Atk and Gravekeeper's Spy has 2000 Def. 2000 Def - 1000 Atk = 1000, so the Sangan player will lose 1000 Life Points, but his Sangan will stay on the field, as the opposing monster was in Def Position. Also in the Damage Step is where Flip Effects are activated. Sangan attacked Gravekeeper's Spy which was facedown, and was flipped up by the attack to faceup Def Position.

Gravekeeper's Spy Flip Effect activates, which allows it to Special Summon a monster with "Gravekeeper's" in it's name with 1500 Atk or less from their deck to the field. Then damage calculations would be counted in, and the Sangan player lost 1000 Life Points due to Gravekeeper's Spy having 2000 Def over Sangan's 1000 Atk. For later turns where the opponent or you have multiple monsters on the field, the person who's turn it is in, can attack once with each of their monsters (unless it has an effect saying otherwise).

Once the Battle Phase is over, the opponent can choose to enter Main Phase 2. Main Phase 2 is where they can activate additional spell cards, set a trap or quickplay spell card, or Summon a monster if they haven't done so already in Main Phase 1. If they already Normal Summoned a monster in Main Phase 1, they can't Normal Summon in Main Phase 2. Special Summons however can still be performed. Afterwards is the End Phase where they end their turn, and it goes back to you where you do the same as them; Draw Phase, Standby Phase, Main Phase 1, Battle Phase, Main Phase 2, End Phase.

When a monster attacks another monster in Atk Position, the monster with higher Atk will deal damage to the opponent's Life Points and the weaker monster is destroyed (unless it has an effect such as cannot be destroyed in battle). For example, Cyber Dragon's 2100 Atk against Elemental Hero Avian with 1000 Atk. 2100 - 1000 = 1100, so the Cyber Dragon player will deal 1100 points of damage to the Avian player's Life Points, dropping from 8000 to 6900, then Avian is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard.

If a Cyber Dragon attacks another player's Cyber Dragon in Atk Postion, both cards will be destroyed, and no Life Points will be lost as both monsters have the same Atk. When a monster attacks a monster in Def Position, no Life Points is lost unless it's a trample monster. A trample monster is where it's effect allows it to deal damage to a monster who is in Def Position. Now in using Cyber Dragon against Elemental Hero Avian in Def Position.

Cyber Dragon has 2100 Atk, Avian has 1000 Def, so Avian gets destroyed by Cyber Dragon, but since it was in Def Position, the Avian player does not lose Life Points. If we use Enraged Battle Ox, who has 1700 Atk and an effect that allows it to deal damage to Def Position monsters, against Avian in Def Position, it will deal 700 points of overflow damage. Now with same Atk and Def scores, for example, we'll use Sangan against Avian. Sangan has 1000 Atk, and Avian has 1000 Def. Neither players lose Life Points, but Avian doesn't get destroyed either and stays on the field.

For these chains, a chain 2 can be chained in response to chain 1, and chain 2 or 3 can be chained in response to chain 2. You can't respond with a chain 1 to a chain 2 effect, or chain 1/2 to a chain 3 effect. You can only counter a chain 3 with another chain 3. You can counter with a chain 2 to another chain 2 effect until the chain stops or a chain 3 is activated.
Now in the 1st turn, you can't attack, as that would be too cheap with your opponent having an empty field. So you would skip to the End Phase. Now it would be the opponent's turn (or your turn if your opponent went first, but we'll just say you went first for this teaching how to duel example). Your opponent would enter the Draw Phase first, draw a card, then Standby Phase where cards on the field who's effects activate in the Standby Phase are activated.

Then he enters Main Phase 1, where he can play spells, set traps, or Normal Summon/Special Summon a monster. When he Summons a monster, if you have cards that can activate in a chain, such as Trap Hole to destroy their monster, you can do so. Remember though that some monsters have ignition effects that can activate when they're summoned before you activate your traps, so the traps would be useless against those type of monsters. An example is Exiled Force, which can be summoned and tributed right away to the Graveyard to destroy 1 monster on the field.

Only if the person decides not to use Exiled Force's ignition effect can the opposing player choose to activate a trap such as Torrential Tribute or Trap Hole. If the opponent plays spell cards, and you have a card to negate them such as Spell Shield Type-8, Magic Drain, etc, you can activate those in a chain as well. For chain links, it goes chain 1 < chain 2 < chain 3. Chain 1 are summoning a monster or activating a Spell Card (Normal/Field/Equip/Continuous), Chain 2 is activating a Quickplay Spell, Trap, or faceup on the field monster effect, and Chain 3 is activating a Counter Trap in response.

For Normal Summoning a monster, you either play them faceup in Atk Position, or facedown in Def Position. Monsters that are 4 stars or less can be Normal Summoned unless they have text that says otherwise. When setting a monster facedown in Def Position, you can't flip it up during the same turn. It's flipped up either when your opponent attacks it on their turn, or you Flip Summon it on your next turn. If the opponent attacks it, it flips up, but stays in Def Position. If you Flip Summon it, you must flip it to Atk Position faceup.

You can't change it's position to Def Position till your next turn. So you can't play a monster facedown in Atk Position, or faceup in Def Position when Normal Summoning. When Flip Summoning a monster that you have set facedown from the previous turn, you can still perform 1 Normal Summon for the turn. Now for Special Summon, that's for playing card effects that can Special Summon a monster from your hand, or a monster who's card text says this monster can be Special Summoned by a special effect.

An example would be Dark Necrofear, who's text says this card is Special Summoned by removing 3 Fiends from the Graveyard from play. So if you have 3 Fiends in the Graveyard, and Dark Necrofear in hand, you remove those 3 Fiends from the Graveyard and you can Special Summon Dark Necrofear. A Special Summon doesn't take up a Normal Summon, so you can still Normal Summon a monster if you haven't done so. Another example of Special Summon is having a monster in the Graveyard and playing Premature Burial (pay 800 Life Points) to Special Summon the monster from your Graveyard.

Now once you have your deck setup, practice playing it with a brother/sister if you have 1 who also play Yu-gi-oh, or with friends that play the card game. If you want a feel for how official tournaments are played, play a best 2 out of 3 match. You and your opponent each start off with 8000 Life Points (not 4000 like the anime). You each have your Deck Zone where you place your deck, Graveyard Zone, Fusion Zone (if you play Fusion monsters in your deck. These aren't counted towards the 40 minimum card deck total.), 5 Spell/Trap Card Zones, and 5 Monster Card Zones.

Make sure you shuffle the deck before the match starts. No one likes people who set their decks up in a way so they draw into their best cards all the time at the beginning of the match, which would be cheating. You both can decide who goes first, or use Rock/Paper/Scissors, or roll a dice and higher roll gets to go first, etc. You both pick up 5 cards, which would be your starting hands.

The person who goes first gets to draw 1 card. This is the Draw Phase. Next is the Standby Phase, in which if you have any cards that has an effect that can be activated in the Standby Phase on the field/hand/Graveyard, you can use the card. After that is Main Phase 1, where you can Normal Summon/Special Summon a monster, play a spell card or set a trap. Spell cards can be activated from your hand, while trap cards need to be set and can't be activated till your opponent's turn.

Yeah me and Promy and other experts on this board can help you out. First when making a deck, pick a theme, and try to stick to 40 cards. If you plan on joining any local tournaments at a collectibles card shop you know in the area, it would be best to make your deck follow Upperdeck's/Konami's Advanced Format Forbidden List. That means certain cards are banned, and others are restricted to 1 or 2 cause of how powerful their effects are.

The general ratio for most decks is somewhere around 20 monsters, 12-14 spells, and 6-8 traps. Certain decks, such as Dark Magician, Diamond Dude Turbo, etc could get away with more spells, or Bazooper could get away with more monsters due to how those decks work. Once you choose a theme, pick cards that support the theme, then other cards that can further support that theme. Then take out cards that you feel are too situational to use or is outclassed by other cards you've chosen.

If you want a competitive deck that's relatively cheap to make, I would suggest a Gadget deck, as you can get the Gadget cards from Machine Revolt Structure Deck, Shrink from the Strike of Neos Special Edition Pack Gift Set. The Strike of Neos Gift Set includes 2 packs of Strike of Neos, 1 pack of Enemy of Justice, a variant art promo card of Cyber End Dragon, and Shrink.

The rest of the cards of the deck come as commons in some sets, structure decks, promo cards, and a few holos that you could try to trade for. Also remember that Egyptian God Cards aren't allowed in an official deck (except casual with friends if you all agree to allow them.). The Egyptian God Cards are just collector's cards, and not official Konami/Upperdeck standard issued Yu-gi-oh cards.

If you also notice, I turned the Graveyard into a search engine for warriors as well. So it's not just 2x Reinforcement of the Army with the deck, but 3x The Warrior Returning Alive with the Graveyard as well. Card Trooper helps mill through the deck, sending up to 3 cards to the Graveyard (mostly the warriors), and of course, provides a card draw when destroyed. Morphing Jar also helps replenish the hand from all the overextending, and getting 5 cards in hand can help get a useful spell/trap card or 2. When I need a particular warrior in hand for a situation, I can use The Warrior Returning Alive to fetch it from the Graveyard to my hand. There's no level restrictions on The Warrior Returning Alive, so I can even fetch Great Shogun Shien or Grand Master from the Graveyard and add it to my hand when I need them.

As for the Six Samurais I chose. Zanji to destroy any monster it attacks, Irou for facedown monsters, and Yaichi for facedown spells/traps. Kamon would be more sidedeck material, where I would add him in if I was facing a deck with lots of faceup spells/traps, such as a Burn or Stall Deck. Nisashi attacking twice is useless, as you can get the same thing with Mataza the Zapper (and your opponent can't take control of it) or Armed Samurai - Ben Kei (whose number of attacks increase with each Equip card on it, generating Ben Kei OTK decks). Yariza was also ignored for his attacking directly effect, as Submarineroid does this better by switching to it's 1800 Def mode after it attacks.

Yeah, the Six Samurai Deck can do lots of swarming. It's a good thing cards like Tribe-Infecting Virus and Raigeki and Dark Hole are banned cause you wouldn't see much people playing Monster Type/Element Decks in tournaments. You still have to be careful with the occasional Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, Lightning Vortex, etc though. You can do some overextending, but not too much where you deplete your whole hand, your opponent plays a card or 2 and wipes your field, then you have no way to counter your opponent's next move.

Anyways, here's a sample combo with the Six Samurai Deck. You won't likely have these cards in hand or it could be slightly different, and I wouldn't do this combo unless your opponent's field was empty or had 1-2 monsters you can easily take out. Be wary of facedown spell/trap cards as it might be a Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, etc.

So let's say you have in your hand a Cyber Dragon, Grand Master of the Six Samurai, Great Shogun Shien, and a Six Samurai monster (let's use Zanji). Your opponent has 1 monster on the field (let's say Hydrogeddon). You Special Summon Cyber Dragon in Atk Position, then Normal Summon The Six Samurai - Zanji. Since you have a Six Samurai on the field, you can Special Summon Grand Master of the Six Samurai. With 2 Six Samurais on the field, you can Special Summon Great Shogun Shien. You've just summoned 4 strong monsters to the field in 1 turn. One of them can take out Hydrogeddon, then the rest can attack your opponent directly. Like I said though, this is alot of overextending, so I wouldn't do this combo unless I know for sure I have a clear shot at my opponent and I'm gonna win.

If you have forgotten, D.D. Warrior Lady is restricted to 1. Magician of Faith is banned, so Dark Magician of Chaos fits the role of retrieving a Spell Card from the Graveyard, plus being a 2800 Atk beatstick. Also since it's removed from the game when destroyed, and with all the Graveyard monster removal I'll be doing through Bazoo's effect, I can use Return of the Different Dimension to bring out DMoC, Jinzo and other powerful monsters. Sangan is for searching out the 1500 Atk or less monsters (D.D. Warrior Lady, Exiled Force, Card Trooper, Magical Merchant, Snipe Hunter, Morphing Jar). Magical Merchant I suppose I can take out, since I'm already using Card Troopers to fuel monsters to the Graveyard for Bazoo. Hmm but what to replace?

Snipe Hunters destroy either monster/spell/trap card on my opponent's side of the field, and it also fuels monsters in the Graveyard to use with Bazoo. This isn't a Chimeratech Deck, so I don't need Proto Cyber Dragons taking up space. Also Overload Fusion removes Machine monsters from my Graveyard, giving less monsters for Bazoo to remove to power up. I already have 9 possible Machines that I could send to the Graveyard through Future Fusion for Chimeratech (Jinzo, 3x Cyber Dragons, 3x Card Troopers, 2x Cyber Phoenixs), giving me a 7200 Atk monster that can attack 9 times. But that's only if I'm lucky on my opening hand with no Machine monsters and 1 Future Fusion card. Pure Chimeratech Decks are dead with the new banned list, but this Deck allows for Chimeratech as an alternate win condition.

shadowlover48369, sorry, but your combo does not work. You posted this on page 1, I believe. It was about A Hero Emerges>V Lord/Necroshade>Cylinder
>If counter>Dust Tornado. You would have to substitute it for Solemn Judgement, because, if read in Dust Tornado's effect, it says it'll destroy it.....but not negate it. Thus, the reason at SJC's you see 3 per deck(less so now) is because of Widespreads and Sakerestu, all that monster removal,or win condition cards. You'd be suprised at how many times a Dust hits a MST or other Dust, just to give the opponent a 2-for-1 advantage(Their Mystical Space Typhoon/Dust Tornado for your Face down or Dust/MST).

There are kids that come to the tournaments I go to who try to play with Pot of Greed and Raigeki and such, and the judge will tell them to edit their decks or not compete. So they'll have to go into their binder and rearrange their decks quickly before the tournament starts.
Anyways, if you plan on joining Upperdeck tournaments so you can go to nationals, regionals, and compete in Shonen Jump Championships and play with 100s of players and win exclusive cards such as Crush Card Virus before everyone else gets them, then make your deck with the Advanced restriction list. That would mean taking out your Cyber Jar, Pot of Greed, and of course, Obelisk. And same with Brom14's deck, if he plans on joining official tournaments, or locals that follow the official rules, then Chaos Sorceror should be taken out as it is banned too.

Shadowlover, you should double check Upperdeck's site. This is copy/pasted from there.

Please note:
Japanese, Asian-English and counterfeit cards are not legal for use in Official Tournaments. The English print Egyptian God Cards are also not legal for tournament play.

That's saying that if you wish to enter any official Upperdeck Yu-gi-oh tournaments, or a local tournament at your card shop which follows Upperdeck's official rules, you cannot have Obelisk in your deck. However, playing casual with friends where you all agree to allow god cards, then that's ok, cause it's just for fun. Usually when I play casual with my friends though, we follow the Advanced Format restriction list, so it gives us practice when we compete in official Upperdeck tournaments. If you plan on joining an Upperdeck Yu-gi-oh tournament, cater your Deck to the Advanced Format, and practice with it with your friedns using the same restriction list. That way you can come up with combos and find out what cards work and what doesn't so you can be ready for a real tournament.

Ok promy!
These are my best ones:
1. I lay down 3 traps (dust tornado, a hero emerges and magic cylinder) And have E-hero necroshade and vapire lord in my hand. My oppenent attacks, I actavate "a hero emerges" my opponent picks vampire lord or E-hero necroshade, I summon one of themthen I actavate my magic cylinder my opponent loses some life points If he/she counters I use dust tornado! That ones perfect!

But rather then me showing you all of my stratagies, why don't I duel you (I added two new cards to my deck, see if you can find them).

I'll go first!I'll simply play a face down monsters. Your move Promy!

Shadowlover : I did send one but the yms didn't allow it for some reason! (YMs please allow this to pass this time&#33 You've got a few heroes ... that's nice....CyberJar's nice for a comeback.... BladeEdge and BarrelDragon are pretty good!....Wow! An Obelisk! Megamorph goes nicely with that! I remember my experience with Megamorph....my friend used it on his Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon and wiped me out! Strong with Obelisk! I need to know your strategies to give you a more detailed tutor.

Brom14: That's pretty good! Actually, getting rid of oppenent's cards AND taking out life points can cut down the oppenent's moves a bit! You should have some back up though.... if you versed Shadowlover she would use CyberJar to get rid of your monsters and plan to summon something like BladeEdge and BarrelDragon. I would put cards like Traphole and NegateAttack to prevent this.

Promy

P.S. Anyone else wanna show me their decks? I'd love to talk about your deck!

I helped your fellow YTV member Hydroggen. I want to tutor other duelists. Doesn't matter if your a beginner, so-so, or even advanced. At least have me evaluate how good your deck is!
Ok so tell me at least 10 of your cards, the theme of your deck, who you beat and their deck, who you lost to and their deck and finally yours best strategies.

Promy

P.S. I'm not sure if I accidently submited this already in the same day but please let it through ! and sorry that happened if it did!
