If you are good at finding things, you might be able to find a ps2, xbox, or gc emulator. >.> .....

Do you honestly think Nintendo cares that you have a rom of the original zelda? Man they have more important things to worry about like how the psp is finally going to bankrupt them.

Nintendo accutal said in their mag,: Nintendo Power that they would press charges agaist anyone who they knew had a nintendo rom on their comp. If they had a hard copie or not

Alright, I guess I'll explain this again. But first: I fully support emulating dead systems and their games (so long as that game has not been re-released on another system without any changes [beyond those required for it to work on said new system]). Now that I have said that, know that my support means nothing if anyone attempts to fine you for emulating their games.

Second; nostalgia_gamer1, the 24 hour rule (if you delete the games within 24 hours, everthing's fine) does NOT exist. By this I mean, it only exists so that you don't feel as bad about pirating.

Third; How it actually works--- (for those who may not know, an Emulator is what allows you to play the games, and a ROM is the game it's self)

-Having an emulator on your computer? perfectly legal
-Distributing an emulator? legal
Here's where it gets tricky;
-You own a physical copy of the game:
---Having a ROM of that game on your computer? legal
---Distributing that ROM to others? not legal
-You do not own a physical copy of the game:
---Having a ROM of that game on your computer? not legal
---Distributing that ROM to others? not legal

The reson behind this is; you are allowed by law to have a back up of any software you own. This is why the RIAA can not fine people for an MP3 if they own a CD (or tape, record, 8track) with that song on it.

Yes, ROMs are illegal unless you own the original copy. If you dont own the original copy, then you can only legally keep ROMs for 24 hours.

Oh, my dad didn't know that. I first found out Jnes when i as surfing the 'net, here's how it went,

I was looking at a Teen game's website and then I heard dad come down and ask me: "I have games on my computer, wanna see them?"

I didn't know how to do that and then, dad went on Jnes and I saw NES games! I was like: "Whoa! How'd you do that?" And dad said, "It's a program called Jnes." And I pronounced Jnes, Jay NES! but then dad copied it in case i wanted to look at it.

and so that's how it went. I played it on a Laptop in my room and when i made it full screen, the elemunator was like slow man! and it already had turbo on. I thought turbo would make the game faster.

P.S: Remember, I didn't think it was Illegal. Sorry.

That's because they still haven't found you..... you can only keep an emulation for 24 hours like now, I could report you.................. but I am not a big meanie so I won't! Even so, I don't like emulators. Nothings beats the good feel of the controller in your hands rather than an impersonnal keyboard!

p.s.: Try MAME, It is a great multi-console emulator!

YOU PLAY EMULATIONS! THAT TYPE OF GAMING IS ILLEGAL!
YOU CAN HAVE FINES UP TO A 1000$ WORTH! Even so, playing it on the actual console is cooler even if you need to blow in the cartridge to make it work!

Keyboard:

A= Select
S= Start
D= Button B
F= Button A
-->=go that derection.
<--= go this way.
up arrow= go up
down arrow= duck/go down.

Ok people! Theprofessor is back, but with code help!

To use codes, go onto help or something, then where it says 'Cheating...' click on it. a window should appear. it should have Game Genie Cheats for you.

you know the U after the name? It shows that cheats are competeable with it. Keep a eye out for the E-typed games. these are rare.

If cheats don't work, even when you enabled them, there might be a problem or something like that...

Ok. This is all about the 'Cheating...' sector. I'll be there for more As soon as possible. (A.S.A.P for short!

Ok? Read my Topic Description? Well, this is where you learn more! Jnes is a PC system that plays NES games. They run on Mappers. If there is a error, the 'Status' bar will say that a Mapper is unsupported.
(I.E: Mapper #45 unsupported.)

Also, it is competable with the Microsoft Sidewander controller. If you have Turbo on Button A and Button B, your guy will not jump as high as in the NES. so it is highly recommanded that you leave Turbo off.

Also comes with a ATARI game system!

Notice: your screen must be running at 8bpp resolution. if not, check your resolution.
