Yeah, but with Sony's Gamer Day, I'm really starting to see the PS3's potential. Heavenly Sword and Uncharted have made me go "wow". It's just the low-res textures that are inferior at the moment, imo. Everything else is getting there.

Honestly, I think that games are better off without the motion/tilt-sensing gimmick (besides games like Time Crisis). I'd rather they just skip over to virtual reality; but then that's gonna be well into the future.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you about supporting all three consoles. Somehow I doubt that you actually own a PS3...or even a 360 perhaps...
1. If you did own both a 360 and PS3, I'm sure you'd notice that the 360 currently has superior graphics to the PS3--especially with most of the ports...
2. The fact that you avoid talking about the PS3 in any specific way makes me suspicious...

Yeah, Sony was a lot more involved in the first three, however I'm pretty sure Vivendi Universal has always held the rights when all was said and done. My theory is that either their initial agreement ended after the third game or there were creative differences[Like Vivendi wanted to take the franchise multi-platform, which they ended up doing...] and Insominiac either bailed out or was dismissed as the developper.

Of course I'm not positive of any of this, but I imagine it was similar to the Crash Bandicoot arrangement[In which it was Vivendi Universal approached Naughty Dog and hired them to develop Crash Bandicoot(That was what Naughty Dog's official website claimed)].

Don't know if you know this, but Spyro was a first party title for th PS1. Then after the third installment, I think Insomniac sold the rights to Universal, which imo, went downhill after that.

This is the extremely technical part it is obvious Ps3 has the most Raw power but 360 uses its power more efficiently do to RAM speeds and such. In theory 360 can use more of its power at a faster rate then Ps3. basically i mean more of 360's power is getting used and or used faster then Ps3's which is all that really matters unless Ps3 gets an upgrade to a RAM that handles games better.Games is all personal prefrence. Personally i like alot of 360's line up and theres a couple Ps3 games to. It ends up being this that could also result in better graphics for the 360.
As for sales right now Ps3 is growing the quickest maybe not as much as it should be and probably not going to last that long but just because in one place a system is selling out doesn't mean its like that anywhere else.

I find the Xbox 360 to be the best of the three new consoles, although to be honest I was going off of stuff others had told me. I like the Xbox 360 because it is, from my point of view, the best deal out of the three. Although I mainly play the 3rd party games myself[Such as Spyro! 8D... lol].

As for graphics, I agree entirely, it was a very feeble counter agrument. As long as everything is reconizable and looks decent I don't reall care about graphics.

So, to sum it up, I was just defending the Xbox 360 from sparkz's post, a debate against Grifter was definetly more than I bargained for. However, I love debates, even if its a virtually hopeless one for me... lol I kid... I kid...

I never really said that the PS3's library was better, did I? I wouldn't really say I was "attacking" the 360; I only point out what I see, and neither one's library is impressive (for now, that is). Both 360 and PS3 have good games right now that are enjoyable on the same levels, but certainly not on the level of killer ap to justify buying one, imo. A few gems come out this year like HS, Lair, MGS4 (hopefully), Mass Effect, Halo 3 and Blue Dragon. But the majority of the huge franchises come out in the later years. For now, I'm just about bored with both consoles. Excluding Gears, neither is better than the other. They're both lackluster, imo.

On some levels yes, such as the texture streaming that R:FOM lacks. Right now, it's too early to see which console has the better potential to have better graphics. For the most part, they look quite equal, but it took a few years for both xbox and ps2 to finally see some good results.
When you said that 360 outperforms the PS3 on many fields, I was just under the impression that there was more to it than just graphics...

I can probably name a few more 1st and 2nd party like GOW3, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank etc. but it was just a small sample of what I'm looking forward to.
As for the bolded part, the only "popular" 1st party games I know on xbox are Halo, Forza, PGR and Gears. While Sony has managed much more than that since they've been in the market longer. I also can't resist pointing out that so many of those PS3 games you are looking forward to are from 3rd party[I believe that's the appropriate term...] developpers, where as Microsoft has managed to develop quite a few popular games for Xbox.

Surprisingly (to me, anyway), 50 cent sold about 1.5 million copies and the Harry Potter games have reached about 2-4 million (each on individual platforms). These are worldwide sales, btw.

For now, anyway. I'm personally looking forward to the future games rather than the current ones. MGS4, FFXIII, WKS, DMC4, Heavenly Sword etc. have all caught my eye.

It's actually really fun. Kind of like Burnout in an open course with no safe-guards/walls, with more destruction. Plus, I really like steering with the SIXAXIS. Quite fun. Although, the only beef I have with it is the lack of offline multiplayer. The online mp is fun, but sometimes I like to invite friends over and play. I'm hoping that the update for offline mp will be coming soon. (I'm guessing the lack is because they either had to meet a deadline or were watching for the demand for offline mp)

Same. For a while, I was in awe about the chainsaw-bayonet, but everything wore off. Berserker battles were interesting, but in the end, it seemed a bit "shallow". And the online wasn't enough to hold my attention either, since I don't subscirbe and just get the free-sample service cards.

That 50 Cent game actually sold? I heard about it for half a week, then never again.

But the problem is, PS3's library currently is just made up of a whole lot of ports, save for Resistance, Motorstorm (how is that game, anyhow? Looked pretty cool in On the Spot), and some other realy popular title that escapes my mind right now.
As for the 360, this time's just really boring. All the stuff I really want is coming out at the end of the year (I hope). I even have to shake my head at GeOW right now. This isn't directed at you, Mr_125, but if sales are any indication to how good or well something is doing, then Nintendogs (yes, I went there), 50 Cent Bulletproof, and those Harry Potter games beat out some of the greatest games ever created.

If you're referring to the games, then isn't it the devs' fault for making bad games? (Yes, I'm looking at you, EA and Ubi -_-) IMO, the only game that beats the PS3's library in any way (besides the lazy ports) is GeOW. And it took about a year after launch for its release.
Honestly, the only edge that I see the 360 having is Live (better organization), better architecture to work with for devs, being out a year earlier (bigger library) and slightly better memory (I think 360's running at more MHz). Even with the year's head start, the bunch of killer aps I'm looking forward to are only coming out this year and next.

I don't even know why we still have these threads going on. It's way too early to determine anything...Plus, why would it even matter if one is doing better than the other? Why should we care?
