- I got knocked around into losing because of bad rounds of Confusion.
- Worst Game I've ever played: I was up 5-2. I missed 5 rounds of Air Slash and Overheat combined (Overheat, Switch, 3 Rounds of Air Slash, Switch, Overheat). I dropped to 3-2 and sent out Jirachi. I get Ice Beamed (Only God knows why), and I get Frozen. I switch out for Freeze Clause (I was on Shoddy Battle), and I get attacked by Hypnosis. I fall asleep. I switch to my final, and I get criticaled.

If it isn't evident yet. I do NOT...EVER take chances...unless it's something like Blaze-Infernape Fire Blast...but that's its own strategy.

Anyways, Paraflinch is only 70% efficient:

IMO I actually think that paraflinching is pretty reliable, most of the time. Because of the rare occasion of me getting hit, I'd beef up Togekiss's defense stats just so everything is nice and dandy. But again there's that sychronize factor. Who knows maybe your opponent doesn't have a Pokémon with sychronize maybe they have 5 with the same ability. Who knows?

On the whole choice skarf thing: Well I make sure I have perfect or near perfect speed IVs. My Heracross is somewhat frightening with it's speed. I may as well say it. It's got perfect speed IVs. So unless you're not fast enough don't generally go for the skarf.

Electivire: See above...the moveset is nice, but it needs to come in on an electric attack...try adding a Water Flying Pokemon to convince your opponent to do so.

Dusknoir: Needs more Pain Split. End of Story

Togekiss: Needs more Choice Scarf, so you can outspeed a bit.

On your Salamence: Try Lefties or maybe Focus sash. FS works good and can give it the lifetime it needs.

Bronzong: Get rid of the Odd and put the Lefties on. Try Hypnosis, Gyroball, um.... Safeguard and Rest.

Alakazam: Get rid of the spoon! Put Life orb/Expert belt and get rid of Recover and Calm mind. Place Grass knot and Focus Blast in place.

On your Ninjask do what Wongs suggested

X: Like I said it's good but no where in the unpredictable section. Standard, Standard, Standard. Not that Standard is bad but being unpredictable can give you a big edge.

On Masmas: Your Magmortar is alright. The only problem with Magmortar is it's ability to sweep. It's got power but not much speed. I'd try a choice skarf on that too. It'll play similar to Heracross.

On your Electrivere, I have only one word: Standard. Not much I can say. You may want to mess around with the move set though. Sometimes being original pays off if you know what I mean.

I'd change your Dusknoir into more of a staller, seeing as you don't really have a staller. Try Willo-wisp and some other moves. It has a number of options for stalling. You also might want to mess around with the EVs to make it more suitable for whatever you need.

On Azumarill: Wow, a little odd... I'm not sure how that would work..... I'd probably try:

Substitute
Focus Punch
Ice beam
Sing/Encore

Yeah, you got it. Massive Subby tubbies along with a Focus punch and Huge power oughta hurt. Ice beam will help you with the likes of Salamence and Skarmory. Sing and Encore is your choice. If you're good at predicting then use Encore if not then try sing. That's Standard I think

On your Togekiss: I'd probably switch to bold and change the EVs a bit to help it last a little longer. The Flinching strategy is better that way along with Roost.

NonameX: Very good, I'm impressed. You can always go for Aqua Tail rather than Waterfall if you want that extra bit of power but if you don't like missing go Waterfall all the way. Leftovers is alright on Gyarados BTW. He's fairly hearty so he can make a good use of it. Pursuit on a Weavile is suggested but your Swords dance variation isn't bad. Blissey usually has maximum HP and Defense and whatever's left on Sp.Defense. It helps it stand up to physical attacks better but you know your variation with the EVs isn't so bad. With Choice specs in and a variety of strong Sp sweepers they can leave a much larger dent and perhaps even OHKO a Blissey. So whatever suits your team. I have a feeling your Donphan is your alternative to Skarmory, so not much to say. I like your Gengar and your Yanmaga. Way to have HP ice on them both. Well no major weaknesses on your team either so, it's good to go.

Masmas: I'm impressed too. Your Heracross is a little oldschool though. Choice skarf came out in D/P and now Heracross is even more deadly with it. Try the standard:

Dragonair: Attack uppers like Dragon Fang, Charcoal, and Mystic Water suck. WAY too many Dragon attacks

Dragonite: Quick Claw sucks. Hyper Beam sucks (1 turn downage hurts)

Gyrados: See Dragonair and Dragonite for hints as to what I'm going to say. Gyrados' Sp. attack sucks as well.

Also Saffa, type is not everything................. you also have to take account with stats. My Umbreon killed an Infernape. How? here's how:

Umbreon has high defense stats and can last two-five super effective hits.

Infernape used Close Combat
I used ConfuseRay to confuse him.
I used Toxic
Infernape was confused and hurt itself
I used Moonlight
Infernape was confused and hurt itself

So after a while the Infernape died because of Toxic and Confuse ray. I lived despite that Fighting is good against Dark.

infernape is faster than empeloen.. empeloen is part steel.. fighting moves are super effective aggainst steel... infernape uses a fighting move cauz he's part fighting and kills empeloen in one hit..

Blaziken: Decent Strat, but Mirror Move is bad, Sky Uppercut is inferior to Brick Break, and only 2 types of moves are used: Fire and Fighting

Torterra: Frenzy Plant is terrible, like Hyper Beam. Giga Drain plays on the Weak Stat, and Skarm takes this thing DOWN.

Swampert: Secret Power is a Bad Move. Otherwise, it's not bad.

Aggron: OWW...DUAL Steel moves and SPECIAL Attacks? That needs lots of work

Bone Rush isn't good (Lucario's low attack... and Bone Rush's generally bad base attack). Try to use Earthquake, if anything (still, maybe not the smartest). As for Dark Void, I think you mean Dark Pulse...

But in general, your team's made of 100% Sweepers... (or wannabe sweepers). A tank may take your team down... try getting Pokemon with different jobs.

Anyways, for people who didn't know, I got Pokemon Pearl! Here's some of my progress so far. Please read it, it has my awesome-ness opinions in it =) And some secrets you probably didn't know about! Did you know that Solaceon Town isn't close to Oreburgh City? Wow... o_O

Progress:

I'm not doing very good. I have 2 badges (w00tzors). My strongest Pokemon is about lvl 24. I forgot which one, though... I think it's either Prinplup (Foozey, like I said I'd name it), Budew (Dewberry), Luxio (Flash), or Staravia (Beta). Pretty awesome, eh? I have 2 Armour fossils, but I haven't revived them, yet. I probably should, but I'm north of Solaceon town... If you want to see my full progress, though, click here to find the Elite Z Forum (hint, hint). I'll try to update as much as possible. Anyways, I personally like the Underground. Quite a lot, although it's annoying when the orange sparkly things aren't where you are (the general area).

Oh, and here are my rants =)

1. Does the main character kneel down while saving? Strange.
2. The New Game option's useless... why's it there? o_O I let my sister start a new file (I played for like one hour), she played for about 4, and it turned out she couldn't save. >_>
3. I wish you could turn off the starting animation sometimes... (if I'm in a rush or something)
4. I'm pretty sure there were other things I found funny. But I don't remember much of it.

However... Close Combat lowers your already low Defense... Maybe you could replace it with something else...? I'm not sure. Ask kirant about that...

Bring out Metagross, Then use a attack, Boom! Headshot! =D Skarm is a Phazer and Fort is a Wall. I'll summon out Fort, Lay out Spikes, When it's Hp gets low, Use Explosion. Spark has a weaker base damage, and Discharge has a stronger base damage, however, Luxray's Attack is better than it's Sp. Atk. So it's your choice... (unless kirant has something to say)
Also, Charge isn't worth it...

Maybe put an Earthquake in there for STAB...?

3. Combine the YAP Pokemon League, Elite Z Club and have an "Official Wifi Topic" kinda thing.

I have a Slowbro as well...
Moveset I used (With a Chesto Berry)
Calm Mind
Surf
Psychic
Rest

Idea - Play it as a Last Resort Styled Pokemon. Keep it hidden until you are desprate (Spelling), and throw it out. With mine, its defense has been pretty much maxed (Near Max IV and maxed EVs), so physical attacks don't threaten it much. Used Calm mind to boost its specials (Special Defense is low), rest when needed, and use double STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) attacks to crush the remainder of your foes.

Last Pokemon...hm...Snorlax does work well (Curse, Rest, Return, Something)...but Blissey, not so much. The most I've seen it EVER do in a fight is use Aromatherapy and switch.

Common Pokemon Types Used:
Sweepers - Heavy Hitters. Always have to be Fast and Powerful. Example: Aerodactyl.
Baton Passer - Exists only to aid another pokemon. Example: Ninjask
ToxiStaller - Toxic and Stalls. Needs a healing move (Recover or Rest are common). Example: Shuckle (Rarely seen though)
Wall/Sponge - Absorbs attacks of one type (sometimes both). Generally has low attack, so it has a Status Condidtion move. Example: Dusknoir
Tank/Bulky Sweeper - A mix of Sweepers and Walls. Is a bit slower, but has defenses and can last well in slugging matches. Example: Swampert
Utility - Used to remove many problems (Spikes, Baton Passed enemies). Example: Claydol
Spiker - Lays Spikes and forces switches. Example - Skarmory
Cleric - Exists on the team to heal. Often has Natural Cure to heal itself. Example - Blissey
Last Pokemon - A last resort. Has a Defense increasing move commonly. Always has a Healing move. Example: Snorlax.

Klompy: It's just a thought, but maybe remove Heatran, Mewtwo, and Girantina from your team. Oh the terror! I've done that to my brother once. Then he got angry and sent out his evil Sandslash of terror. Then he used Earthquake and then.......Raichu had lets say..... a little accident.

I had a hard time deciding. So I want some input. A resting one would obviously last longer. Swagger would make my opponent more annoyed. (Which I enjoy doing very much so) Flamethrower,Ice beam, surf, and Psychic, would make it so that it could deal with other types more efficiently. I put them all twice because I could have Flamethrower and Ice beam or Surf and Psychic etc;
Slowking's Special stats are very good and his defence is fairly decent. I think you guys can guess what I'd do. Well I'll say it anyway. If I had Thunder Wave I'd use it if not I'd Calm mind like crazy until I feel I should rest. By then my Slowking's special attack and special defence will be incredibly high. So I'd use Flamethrower/Ice beam/Surf/ Psychic
That's 5/6 pokemon for my team. The only thing is well..... Pikachu may be a weakness to my team.

Here's the biggest question:What should be my last Pokemon?
I'm considering Snorlax but..... all of you guys would call me cheap..... right?
Same with Blissey. I could also use maybe a Charizard but my brother uses that. I'll post something else tomorrow or something.

Oh and about my Kingdra well I figured after looking at Kingdra's stats it should be able to beat about pretty much any darn pokemon there is. It's actually a very good pokemon and gets shadowed by Dragonite. Even if it's facing a water type I think the Kingdra will still win. It'll be what um about 100 turns till I kill that water type pokemon in front of me. I bet that if a Dragonite and a Kingdra face off in a battle the Kingdra will always prevail. Unless the Dragonite is 20 levels higher.Nice way to defend myself eh? Oh. well even if there is a Water type it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I'll just switch in some other pokemon to deal with it.

Well I'm off to catch a Shiny Eevee and get it to learn Baton Pass. Then I'll evolve it into Umbreon. BTW does anyone know how hard it is to catch an Eevee! I know I can get one from Bebe but I want a shiny one. I'm so Picky!

Strat - Begin with Ninjask. Take 6 turns up by going Protect/Substitute/Protect/Substitute/Substitute/Substitute (Activates Leichi Berry). Baton Pass to Marowak. Destroy as much as possible with Marowak. If it doesn't end there, fight on Houndoom or Porygon2. When the battle becomes a slugging match, Dusknoir is sent out, and can weaken an enemy. Against high HP foes, Dusknoir is almost always going to be sent out (Low Max HP + Pain Split = More than imaginable Damage). If I get beat back to 1 pokemon, Suicune is sent out. It would use Calm Mind and then attack with surf...with Rests if required.

For your Kingdra, the DT is for when your resting, I pressume. It's a good moveset, however, what are you going to do against Water types?


Also.. YOU GOT A SURFING PIKACHU!? Uhh... it's from Pokemon Box, right? Well, it's a standard (and like the ONLY moveset) for a Surfing Pikachu...

sound? I'm still questioning this move set. I'd probobly use substitute and focus punch right after to deal a ton of damage. Then rockslide and earthquake to handle his weaknesses. The only thing is Rockslide doesn't have STAB so................argh! This is frustrating! Plus I'm not even sure if Machamp can learn Substitute! I have a shiny one so I was thinking. Your probably gonna use Toxic first, then confuse ray, use mean look so he can't get out of the battle, and when he does damage, you use moonlight...

Also, Uber Wars aren't fun at all...it really just degenerates into Kyogre switching and tonnes of Deoxys (Deoxys...Deoxyses?). Either way, there is NO variety in Uber wars. Why I'm under the ID "Trainer of the UU"...

Suggestions for training (Follow if you want)
- BREED! Some pokemon (IE Dusknoir) work a hundred times better if you breed them properly (Dusknoir of capture is multiple times worse than a Dusknoir with an Impish Nature and has Pain Split)
- EV train. #1 missed easy work (That makes your team better) is to EV train.
- Cover your weaknesses. With the new battle system, Arcanine is better with the ability to use Thunder Fangs.
- Mix your team up a bit. Don't go monotype or mono-strategy. Add some of some types (Steel is a great defense, and Dragon is great for attacking) and add in some tanks/stallers. You need to be able to handle a strong attacking foe and a strong defensive foe
- Try to keep a pokemon with Aromatherapy/Heal Bell. For those who have played competitvly before on Netbattle, you know that there are lots of people out there who use Toxic, Thunder Wave, Spore, and Will-O-Wisp. You might want something to counter them. The best choices are: Blissey, Miltank, and Celebi
- Be able to counter the following pokemon: Gyrados, Hitmoncham, Milotic, Umbreon, Blissey, Skarmory, All Legendaries, Salamence, Garchomp, Togekiss, Blaziken, Heracross, Marowak, and Tyranitar. I know that sounds hard, but it goes together easier than you think.
- Don't underestimate Baton Passing pokemon. Ninjask becomes feared because it can easily pass on 6 upgrades in speed to ANYBODY (Protect, Sub, Protect, Sub, Protect, Sub, Baton Pass). It might be good to keep a Haze Pokemon on your team
- Keep a last pokemon. One that can heal itself no proeblem, can handle hits, and take your opponent down.

5. When setting up a time/day to fight, remember to find out where they are in the world, so you can give them the time to play in there time zone. I think that from coast to coast, you can be as far as 3-4 hours apart (Correct me on this)
6. When joining, please attempt to add your items and movesets. If gives everyone a better idea of what you have
7. Accept all challengers. This is fairly obvious (IE Don't deny someone a battle because they are too weak/strong)
8. Have fun. I know this has been said over and over, but D/P is just a game.

I'm open for suggestions to the above guidelines.
