I watched the show when I was younger 5 years ago and I have to admit I liked the songs then. The music is pretty much the same and my tastes have changed and now the songs bore me....accept busted yellowcard avril and simple plan. younger children I know love the songs on the Hit List,

well i noticed that hit list plays only pop music and songs that are way overplayed.. i find it that it's mostly girls who watch the show. i'm a girl, and i find the show waaaay to girly with pop singers populating the charts. and they play videos from some band that i never heard of that came from some foreign country.

I don't like Hilary but just because she was at #1 that dosent mean you have to hate her.. it just means you get jelous fast.. i don't like Hil because if she didnt have that show she wouldnt of been famous. But maybe if I watched that show i problay would of liked her :|

Well for one thing Singers now-a-days are using their bodeis and like I dont thnk Hitlist like's songs that like curse at every other word. And like the only bad thing about Hitlist is I never seen a Janet jackson video on it ever. and if you dont like it get off their message boards

agree, old stuff gone. New stuff in. umm you guys really need to listen to music... jj Thug is right.. I mean all those songs make you get up and dance. I or like sean paul, when i listen to his stuff, just makes me wanna do tha harlem shake lol!

Ya I don't see why they dont play the songs that we want but Hit list is for NEW cool HITs for their LIST of top songs and you notice that new ones come on all the time and the old ones are gone in like 3 months and I emailed the hit list and they even said :the hit list is for new song we dont play old ones only new ones that just come out and they stay on the chart till they get from #1 back to #20 then it goes. Hope that answers ur Question.

me...me...ME! I love WESTLIFE! HitList is the only place we can see them in Canada...'cept on the net! I'm so glad that it has stayed predominantly a pop show, though I don't like a lot of the stuff that is played these days...the only thing that keep watching for is WESTLIFE!

I acutally gave up on hit list a long while ago... But yeah, this is a countdown of the hits voted in by the viewers...so if you think something is wrong with the songs chosen...then remember. It's you people out there who are voting for them.

I've heard of Westlife and Atomic Kitten before, I liked a couple of their songs...though not really in my taste range. They aren't so bad. And if they can stay on the charts then they must be doing something right to have people vote for them.

And I agree, it's the same thing over and over again...even with gaga there (is gaga still there?). I think, if they aren't going to spend the time playing the full chart...then atleast put one new video out there each week (that isn't on the chart yeah) to show people...

And I agree with the others, Yellowcard is awesome!

i don't get it either i mean they don't play old songs but the songs they play suck. i don't know any body who talks about the people that are in their top charts. They need songs like:

That's not true.I love Westlife, & so do most of my friends at school.They are a really amazing band & have so much success.The hitlist only plays ballads from Westlife.They should put some up-tempo songs, like Uptown girl, or Hey whatever.Most people don't like Westlife because they think that Westlife only sings ballads, but that's not true.But, now that Britlist 2004 is coming soon, everyone can hopefully see the other side of Westlife.

Face it kiddies the old stuff is a lot better than the new stuff. If by to old you mean all those songs from 5 years ago you are off. An old song in my opinion would be a song that has lasted over a decade. I myself listen to 20 year old songs because the band that does them will not despair in musical obscurity like all those new age rock bands.

Yeah, I don't really get it either. I used to always watch the Hit List, but now I think "Why bother?". Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome show, but I think it needs more videos. I think ALL the videos should be played every week not just a few. Just my opinion.
And I'm just wondering (no offense to anybody) but who likes Westlife? Or Atomic Kitten? I have never really heard of them before. Yet, they get voted onto the chart all the time. NOBODY I know talks about them, but whatever. I'm not dissing anybody, I'm just saying my opinion.
Oh...and peeps! PLEASE VOTE YELLOWCARD'S OCEAN AVENUE ONTO THE CHARTS! I saw it on the "Vote" thingy and jumped for joy. It's an awesome song by an awesome band and it's an awesome video. So VOTE VOTE VOTE!

i love music. but why watch the hit list? there is ussually old music and i find it doesn't really play anything that really does deserve to be number one. not so long ago all they would play is boy band stuff. at least it is getting there slowly. what do u think?
